The Lawrenceville Gun store was opened in 1892 by Dr. John W. Pritchard and his wife, Ida. The store was originally located at 281 S Gay Street in Lawrenceville. In 1899, the Pritchard's moved to 4 N Main Street in Lawrenceville and continued to operate the store until their death in 1923. John Pritchard's son, Harry Pritchard, took over the business from his father and operated it until his death in 1959. Then, Harry's son, Dick Pritchard, operating the store until its closure in 1974. In 1978, Charles "Chuck" Hensley purchased the business from Dick Pritchard and operated it until its sale to Rick Teague in 1992. Rick Teague then sold the business to David Ladd of Decatur on July 1st 1997. David Ladd then reopened the store as a gun show/sales facility with a additional shooting range inside on October 15th 1998 which he continues to operate as today. The first guns that were sold at the Lawrenceville Gun Store were Winchester rifles manufactured by Henry Repeating Arms Company (HRA). Chuck Hensley started selling Winchester rifles back at the store when he bought it from Rick Teague on July 1st 1997. At that time, there was only one rifle aisle with around 20-25 Winchester rifles available for purchase each day duringGun Show Season! That inventory has since grown exponentially due to increased production by both Hensley himself as well as subsequent owners of the store who continue to sell firearms here including various calibers such as 9mm pistols and revolvers for civilians and law enforcement officers alike! Lawrenceville, Georgia is a town in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 15,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The first settlers in what is now Lawrenceville were British immigrants who arrived in 1795. The town was founded by General James Wilkinson as a trading post on the Chattahoochee River. In 1824, Wilkinson named it after himself and his wife Lucy Caldwell from nearby Lawrenceville (now part of Roswell). LawrenceVILLE was originally located on the east side of the Chattahoochee River about where modern-day US Highway 280 intersects with I-285 today. A ferry took travelers across to this new location until 1814 when they began traveling north on I-85 instead which bypassed LawrenceVILLE completely. Even though I-285 now occupies most of its original routing, parts of downtown Lawrenceville remain very active including the old courthouse and bank building that still stands today. The early days were difficult for people living in this small community because there wasn't much to do other than trade goods with those who traveled downriver or sell goods they produced themselves such as cotton ginning and farming. However, over time things started to change as businesses opened up and people started moving into the area for all sorts of reasons including opportunities for education and work outside their homes. One big event that helped define Lawrenceville's history occurred when General James Wilkinson died in 1825 leaving behind a large fortune which he used to expand into other businesses throughout Cobb County before dying in 1851 at the age of 82 years old - making him one of Cobb County's earliest major landowners! After James Wilkinson's death, many families decided to move into what would becomeLawrenceVILLE because it had already emerged as an important commercial center due to its location along two major riverside routes - one leading outwards towards Athens and Marietta while another led northeast towards Milledgeville/Milton/Peachtree City etc... Many schools also began being built here during this time which continues to this day; such as Hartsfield Day School (opened in 1913) which served students from surrounding towns until 1978 when it became part of Atlanta State University; and Eastern High School (opened in 1927), which still serves students today! In 1935 local farmers formed a cooperative farm organization known as "The Farm Bureau" which gave locals more power over their food production since it allowed them to bargain with growers directly rather than going through market traders like prior systems did! This system continued unchanged until 1984 when state lawmakers passed a bill creating government supported marketing organizations called "Agricultural Marketing Service" orAMS). At present day grocery stores such as Kroger are located within walking distance (or less)of many homes here meaning that residents have easy access both grocery shopping AND cooking needs right next door! Much later on during World War II local industry picked up again thanks largely to American Motors Corporation GMC) who set up shop here during wartime shortages caused by Axis aggression abroad! GMC's involvement here goes back further than anyone can remember however; starting out simply enough as an armaments dealer but eventually becoming one of MARTA's biggest employers providing components for aircraft manufacturing plants etc... In addition, numerous industries have closed down around town due mainlyto economic factors like globalization or technology advances working away at smaller companies without much ripple effect downstream... although some older firms have slowly reopened thanks to recent revivals like Old Time Manufacturing Company (OTMCO), once known for producing authentic peach pies (!), among others! Today there are several interesting focal points withinLawrenceVILLE including Pritchard Park where golf carts full of artifacts dating back centuries are available for visitors(open Wednesdays 9am - 4pm); Rockdale Hall Museum & Library open Monday thru Friday 10am - 5pm;and The Georgian Theatre District containing several theaters ranging from professional productions like "Aida" starring Placido Domingo and José Carreras through independent films & plays all year round!)
