Kennesaw is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 971 at the 2010 census. Kennesaw is the county seat of Fulton County and home to the Georgia State Capitol and most of the University of Georgia campus. It is also known for its historic buildings, including the state capitol and judge's courthouse. The first Europeans to visit what is now Kennesaw were French traders in 1763 and they named it "Nantes" after their then-coastal resort on the Florida Keys. Captain James Cook passed through this area on his Northwest Passage Expedition in 1795, naming it "Kennesaw". The land that makes up what is today Kennesaw was parts of two counties until 1802 when they were combined into one: Fulton County. In 1833, General Winfield Scott decided to move the capital from Montgomery to Atlanta because he felt Atlanta had outgrown its role as a minor town in central Georgia. He chose Kennesaw as the site for his new capital because it was isolated from military forces and had access to excellent transportation links by way of roads and railroads. Construction began on the present day Georgia State Capitol in 1834, but due to funding shortages Confederate troops burned down part of the building in 1865 while fighting during Reconstruction following slavery's collapse. During World War II efforts were made by local officials to provide munitions production sites within reach of city residents; however no bombs were ever dropped on Kennesaw or any other town within miles of Hollywood Studios in Los Angeles. In 1948, parts of Kennesaw became part of newly created DeKalb County; however, many downtown businesses remainowned by locals who continue to use them for business purposes rather than serving as government offices or housing developments. Today, much development has taken place around both downtown Kennesaw (which remains an important commercial center) as well as northside suburbs such as Decatur which arehome to more high-tech companies than ever before due to growing commuting patterns wreaking havoc with traditional retail strips like Peachtree Road near Cobb Mall which have long been used mainly for shopping centers/mall malls etc., although there has been some redevelopment going on around Interstate 20 west between Gaithersburg Rd./Gabby Rd./Lenox Rd./Dalton Hwy/I-20 W exit & US 190 S., creating a mixed urban– rural area with some apartment complexes built off I-20W near High Bridge Overpass (the old US 90S), making GA a major player among statespiring 2nd ring metropolises

Today, most people understand and appreciate the importance of good quality coffee - whether it be brewed at home or purchased from a café or restaurant. One of the earliest commercial espresso machines was designed by Giovanni Giolitti in 1822. This model used water and ground cassia nuts to produce an aromatic cup of coffee. For many years, Italian roasters were the only ones able to offer high-quality espresso beans direct to consumers. After Bela Balatoni founded his own company in 1901 and began producing grinds specific to Hungarian taste, international brands soon followed suit. At this point, espresso had truly become an international classic! Over time, different techniques have been employed to create fantastic cups of espresso – including pour-overs (using hot water alone instead of milk), macchiatos (which are small cafe-style servings), cortados (a type of Spanish omelet), and fluffies (small pastries). Some Coffee Masters even prefer Toasts - which are diced French toast or brownie batter served with melted chocolate or ice cream on top - for breakfast! Kennesaw was founded in 1836 by General Nathan Bedford Forrest as a military outpost on the Chattahoochee River. It became the capital of Georgia in 1851, and served as the state's second city from 1868 to 1903. The city was destroyed by fire in 1901 and rebuilt with federal funds. Today, Kennesaw is a local cultural center and historic district that includes several hotels, a casino, and several dozen homes.
Kennesaw was once a small, independent town on the border of Cobb and Fulton counties in Georgia. The first mention of Kennesaw is from 1839 when it was part of the Cherokee Nation. In 1855, a group of Yankees moved to Kennesaw from New York City and began to settle the area. By 1860, there were around 250 people living in Kennesaw. The relocation caused much social upheaval as many residents were not happy with their new surroundings. In 1865, a group of Confederate soldiers settled in Kennesaw after they retreated from Atlanta during the Battle of Chickamauga. The town quickly became known as "the Confederacy's last stand". As the war ended, most those in Kennesaw decided to move away or leave for other parts of Georgia. Only a few remaining residents remain today including one woman who still lives in Kennesaw and helps run the local library
