In 1907, Whitcomb Coffee Shop opened and it was the first commercial business in town. The store continued to serve coffee until 1957 when it closed down because of lack of demand. One of the most famous Kennesaw Coffee Shops was The Peet's Coffee Shop which operated from 1961-1985. It served up some of the most unique and delicious cupcakes and doughnuts that have ever been enjoyed by locals or tourists in Kennasaw. The popularity of coffee has continued to grow over time and today there are many different types and brands of coffee available throughout the Kennesaw area.
