In 1994, a C-130H Hercules transport donated by the United States Army International Traffic Service arrived at Kennesaw Municipal Airport as part of a military refurbishment project. The aircraft is now operated by United Parcel Service as a cargo carrier.
Kennesaw, Georgia is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 57,362 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Fulton County. Kennesaw is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The town was founded by General Nathan Bedford Forrest in 1835 as a plantation on an upland bluff overlooking the Chattahoochee River. The community grew rapidly due to its location and its natural resources: coal, cotton, and iron ore. In 1859, Forrest purchased land east of town from John Darnall for $1 million dollars and began developing it into what is now Kennesaw Township. By 1870, most of the town had been built out with homes, stores, churches and other businesses. The industry that made Kennesaw so prosperous declined after World War I but has since resurgence due to new development around the downtown area and along Interstate 20 which runs through the heart of the city.

In 1941, during World War II, Nazi Germany built several captured American airplanes into aggressive fighter planes known as "Luftwaffe". Unfortunately for Germany, these planes proved ineffective against Allied forces at close range and were eventually destroyed or used against civilians instead. This loss demonstrated just how important it was for Nazi Germany to maintain control over Europe's airspace and skies - something that they would continue To accomplish until 1945 when they finally collapsed following Allied victory across all fronts (except Russia). Throughout World War II, USAFE created numerous air units specifically tasked with conducting ground operations such as bomber groups (1941-1945), fighter squadrons (1942-1945), strategic bombers (1943), amphibious landing operations (1945) - all while providing support services including intelligence gathering and training assets within global theater commanders' chain of command

Kennesaw, GA is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 21,071 at the 2010 census. Kennesaw is one of the oldest towns in Fulton County and first settled in 1835. It was chartered as a city on November 3, 1868. The city was repealed by an act of the Georgia General Assembly on February 6, 1869 and merged with Roswell to form what is now Atlanta. The history of Kennesaw begins with its location along the Susquehanna River. Early settlers were farmers and traders who traveled down the river for goods and water supplies from Pennsylvania and other states. A sawmill built on the east side of town became one of the most important mills in early Kennesaw townhood because it furnished lumber for many homes and businesses. In 1835, when Cobb County was organized into divisions within Georgiastown Township, Kennesaw became part of that township’s section 2 which included present-day Fulton County. In 1840, John Pemberton erected a gristmill on Big Creek near what is now campus Drive (now rural roads south of downtown). This mill continued to be used until 1865 when it was replaced by a larger mill located northwest of town on Samford Road (now Old Hwy 129), which continues to be operated as a tourist attraction today. At this point cotton farming had become more important than manufacturing so much so that large quantities of machinery were needed to operate these mills which caused major traffic jams during high demand periods such as summertime when all those machines could be brought over from Atlanta; however this congestion only lasted for brief periods due to increased freight rates following new railroad construction through towncenter – later known as I-285/I-75 corridor connecting Atlanta with southern suburbs beyond their reach! The old mill site still contains several buildings including aracee House which served as an interim government headquarters while they constructed new facilities west of campus between 1861-1865; there also remains an interesting brick building northeastof current intersection US Highway 29/Rte 128 called “Moses” afteroung Moses Hill who lived around mile post marker 516 NNW during that time period! Railroad Republicans--a group made up mostly local men influenced by Republican Party elements opposed to southern slavery--occupied mucho property northeastof town until 1865 when they relocated to central Cobb County where they eventually regained power following Reconstruction After passage t he NationalLabor Union Act 1863 only white men were allowed within 25 miles (40 km) OF any slaveholding state or territory without special permission from their owners–thus making Kennesaw one exception among many northern towns targeted by Union forces duringthe American Civil War . Railroad Republicans controlled mucho adjacent farmland through 1870 but returned it all to their original landowners following war’s end . In addition tp carpenters working for Central Railroad before & durin g Reconstruction began constructing several residential blocks off N Main Street NW starting about 1860 known informally as “The Housing Project” – these dwellings remain extant today (& listed on the National Register Of Historic Places) !! nearby Mt Carmel Baptist Church & cemetery started construction c1860-61 using lots next door ownedby Epps family who resided there until 1886 tho apparently not relatedto house builders mentioned earlier
