Jesup is a small town located in Fulton County, Georgia. The population was 1,746 at the 2010 census. Jesup is part of the Athens-Clarke metropolitan area. Jesup has a history that dates back to 1807 when Baptist missionaries arrived in the area and founded a church. In 1907, Jesse Pemberton donated land for a high school which opened in 1909. In 1963, Jesup High School merged with Grady High School to form one school district.
