On May 7, 1951 the USS Constitution ( Constellation Class) was acquired by the United States Naval Forces Europe which renamed her USS Constitution Museum. The museum served as a training ground for U.S. Naval forces until it was closed in 1987. On July 6, 1988 the USS Constitution Museum reopened as a navy deployed gift history museum with over 20% of its collection donated by service members and their families from all over the world. In 1921, when Prohibition began to be enforced in America, many people living near Atlanta decided to move away from prohibition-infested cities such as New Orleans or Chicago due to its effects on business and society as a whole.
