In 1927, the first coffee pot was invented in Fayetteville and it used a burr grinder to make coffee. In 1951, Fayetteville became the home of Pepsi-Cola's Research and Development Center which produced the world's first soft drink using cold pressing methods. The Research and Development Center is now part of Coca Cola Company's global research complex called "Pepsi-Cola World Headquarters".

This line includes blends of Guatemalan and Ethiopian Hario Kenzawa coffee beans. Additionally, Donut Shop Coffee now produces a variety of organic coffee beans as well as fair trade certified coffees. Fayetteville is a city in Carter County, Georgia, United States. The population was 17,898 at the 2010 census. Fayetteville was founded by Col. John Fitzpatrick in 1819 as a small trading post on the Chattahoochee River. It grew rapidly during the antebellum period and rapid growth led to annexation by Atlanta in 1847. After Atlanta's incorporation as a city in 1857, Fayetteville developed into one of the largest cities in Georgia with over 100,000 residents by 1860. However, after Confederate forces invaded Georgia in 1861 and lost control of the state, Fayetteville plummeted into economic decline and its population dwindled to 11,500 by 1865. Its fortunes revived during Reconstruction when white vote continued to flow to Fayetteville despite efforts of black activists to block whitey from voting. However, progressivism became an important factor behind Fayetteville's resurgence during this time and it achieved municipalhood as a city on December 3rd, 1974. As part of this process, it also gained access to public education which has helped keep its economy strong since then
