In the early 2000s, family members of Mr. Dillard passed away and left behind a legacy of small batch coffee at their business - continuing to roast and sell beans direct to customers throughout the community. Today, Mr. Dillard's sons continue to run the business with help from their mother; also, Mrs. Caldwell provides support during busy periods while her husband looks after animal care duties out of town). In September 2009, Mayor Tommy Battle announced plans to demolish all three bridges that cross the Chattahoochee River - one connecting east point with Decatur and two linking east point with Fulton County - in order to make way for a new development called "Homes on The Water". This would be a $2 million dollar investment which would result in 513 jobs being created as well as increasing riverfront property values around town. Despite much opposition from locals who argue about both environmental effects and potential job losses, Battle decided to go ahead with the project despite strong protests from residents throughout the country who feel their communities will be negatively affected by it

East Point is a small town in southeastern Georgia that was founded by the Cherokee people in 1805. The Cherokee capital of Etowah was located at East Point, and early settlers there were involved in both hunting and agricultural pursuits. In 1867, the United States bought East Point from the Cherokee nation and made it a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Today, East Point is an intact rural community with a population of about 1,200. The history of East Point begins with the Chokotka Islanders who settled on Cape Lookout in 1756. They wereattered there until they returned to their home islands in 1758 after being stranded on Georgia's east coast during a fierce storm. The islanders named their new settlement "East Point" because of its location near one of their former homes. In 1805, Creek Indians led by Chief Muscogee kidnapped four white men and women from Savannah while they were taking supplies to build a trading post at Whatcom Island Ferry Landing. When they failed to return within three days, the men set out into search for them and discovered land at East Point Cove where they built their first permanent cabin. They named their community "Eastpoint" after this point on Old Spanish Bayou which flowed through their territory. Over time, farming began to take hold as an important economic activity here and many buildings still remain from these early days including the old courthouse which is now used as a museum . After years of growth, development occurred in earnest around 1900 when Atlantans started moving westward looking for opportunities for job creation . As more people came along hereto live, work forces poured into what had been little more than farmland . This further developed business districts around churches, schools, stores and other businesses before becoming known as "The Strip". After World War II ended hostilities between America's two major religions ( Protestantism vs Catholic ) , many Eastern Europeans began arriving here seeking opportunity ; some brought families while others sold property outright or leased it back over time . With so many newcomers coming here during such rapid change , often times no one knew everything about what was happening or what would happen next . Today much remains unchanged since those pioneer days including Chattahoochee River views across downtown which can be seen only from high up ; agriculture continues to play an important role with crops such as cornucopiae growing large enough to require pick-up truck operations ; several churches still operate; arts & crafts are popular among local residents; students attend local public schools; light pollution levels are high due to endless auto traffic

From its early days as an agricultural center, East Pointe developed into a major commercial and industrial center during the late 19th century and early 20th century. In 1925, East Pointe became home to the first airmail service between Atlanta and New York City. In recent years, East Pointe has experienced rapid growth as a bedroom community for much of downtown Atlanta. As of 2019, there are over 10,000 residents living in buildings within walking distance of each other in what is said to be one of the most dense urban areas in America.
