In honor of this tragedy, American Airlines is sending a Boeing 747-300 aircraft with an engraved plaque reading "In Memory Of JFK" to Shanksville PA for display at an local airport hangar until further notice.

East Point is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 3,871 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in what is now East Point was John Stevens who arrived in 1785 as part of the Georgia Colony. In 1802, James Robertson founded a small community on the east bank of Chattahoochee River north of present-day East Point. In 1815, General Andrew Jackson led an army through Fulton County to rout Creek resistance and take control of their land west of the river. This event helped spur development along the Chattahoochee River corridor and laid the foundation for what would become East Point as one of Atlantica's most important trading and commercial centres during antebellum times. East Point achieved notoriety during both World Wars due to its strategic location on two major waterways – Army Air Corps bombers flying from nearby Miamisburg could drop supplies on either side of Savannah or hit targets inland while warships protected Georgian creek mouth from enemy submarines; military personnel also stationed there contributed significantly to American victory in both wars. The post-war years have seen steady growth for EastPoint with many new businesses opening up and many residents moving into newly developed areas such as West End and Midtown which are located near highway I-285 and MARTA rail lines respectively
