Today, parts of rural Fulton County remain unincorporated within the City Limits City boundaries while other areas have been annexed into Atlanta proper since then including portions of Druid Hills and Midtown neighborhoods northwest of downtown which are now known as Buckhead and Sandy Springs neighborhoods respectively
