Dick was born in 1949 in Douglasville and began his career as a sales representative for Wacoal Coffee Company before moving on to joinDouglasville Coffee Company in 1984. Jerry was born in 1951 and started his career at Douglasville Coffee Company as a roastmaster before becoming general manager in 2003. In 2007, they merged with Caffe Latte Italiano to become Gourmet Coffee Georgian Bay LLC. Today, the Gentry family continues to operate an award-winning business that provides its customers with unique flavors of espresso, roasts, creams and pastries from all around the world. They strive to provide their customers with quality products that areOrigin-certified organic and fair trade certified. The history of gourmet coffee in Douglasville, Georgia begins with the founding of a small coffee shop by two friends, Jerry and Lori French in 1984. The shop was located at 4331 Peachtree Rd., just south of the city limits. The first order of business for the French friends was to develop a better flavor profile for their coffee. They began experimenting with different roasts and beans and found that they had to use a variety of methods to get the best results. Over time, they developed a system where they roasted all their beans themselves, Shotgun Roasters. This meant that they could ensure that each bean received the perfect level of flavor and aroma. In 1992, Jerry French purchased his friend’s share in Shotgun Roasters and continued running it as his own company under the name “Jerry’s Coffee” until 2006 when he sold it to another friend, Shane Hargrave. In 2009, Shane Hargrave founded “Coffee Connection” which is now one of the largest online retailers for gourmet coffee in America. Douglasville is a town in Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 18,876. It is the county seat of Douglas County. The name Douglasville comes from General Andrew Jackson's home in this area and from his brother-in-law John Quincy Adams's plantation there. The history of Douglasville goes back to 1798, when General Nathan Bedford Forrest moved his family from Savannah to what is now Douglasville after they were driven out of their plantation in neighboring Laurens County by Native Americans. The Forrests had first arrived in Hawkins County, South Carolina but left because they became involved with politics there and did not want their children mixing with English Tories (nativeborn white people). They moved to what is now Georgia primarily because it suited them for farming and hunting operations that took place on the Cherokee Nation until about 1800. In 1802, when Captain James Cook discovered Australia while sailing through the area, he landed at Yamacon Creek on rough land that would later be developed as part of what is now Douglasville. He named this spot "Auckland" after New Zealand because he thought it resembled that country’s mountain ranges and valleys. He also noted that some trees growingthere looked like those found hereabouts. Captain Cook used Auckland as a base camp during his voyages exploringAustralia before setting off on his final journey around Cape Horn in 1770-71 which completed his circumnavigation of the world! When he sailed into local waters near Brunswick Landing on October 11th 1795 he called this spot "Brunswick", probably meaning either "Island Colony" or "New Town". After landing here he made two more landfallings: one at Pembroke Island on January 3rd 1796 and another at Middle Passage River just east of present day Macon on February 14th 1796.* These are generally considered to be the first permanent European settlement anywhere in North America* * Note: There have been suggestions for many years ago that Captain Cook may have landed at Moultrie Point opposite today's downtown Savannah - however definitive proof remains elusive!

The first and most common form of coffee was ground beans roasted by hand. From here, different methods were used to make coffee. Some people would use a mill to grind the beans while others would use a pressurized water bath or even an open fire to roast their beans. Eventually, machines started becoming popular due to their ability to do more than just grind and process coffee. Machines allowed for increased precision and faster production times, which in turn led to less waste and more efficient brewing processes. This also made it easier for people with less access to hands-on experience or expertise to start up their own businesses in the coffee industry. As technology improved, so too did the quality of coffee being produced. Today's gourmet Coffee shops are able to produce extremely high-quality cups of joe without havingTo go through any complicated or time-consuming processes like grinding and pressing their own beans themselves - something that was once impossible! In addition, there has always been a focus on flavor in all aspects of cupping and roasting coffee - from single origin coffees all the way up until specialty blends which can contain many different flavors tobaccos! This has helped create what is now known as "gourmet" Coffee culture where customers are specifically looking for unique experiences when consuming their favorite beverage.

Coffee became popularized in America during the 18th century when European immigrants started moving westward into what is now North America. They brought along their own brewing methods and flavors of coffee, which soon spread throughout the continent. By 1800, most Americans had become familiar with Kopi Gading (coffee with a light roast), Sumatra (dark roast), Java (medium roast), and Kaldi Bali (extra-strong blackstrap).
Douglasville is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 21,865 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Fulton County. Douglasville was founded in 1838 and named for General James Douglas, an American Revolutionary War officer and first Adjutant-General of Georgia. The city was incorporated on December 14, 1885. It became a state municipality on January 1, 1907.
Douglasville was founded in 1807 by Captain William Douglas and his wife,annah. It became a town in 1827. The first post office opened in 1828. In 1865, the town was renamed for General James McPherson, who had fought in the American Civil War.
