The purpose of the program is to remember the military members who have deployed and contributed to our country through their gift giving. The history of this program can be traced back to World War II when the United States air force used donated goods and items from the American people to support its soldiers on the battlefield. During the Vietnam War, gifts from citizens were also collected and given to military members. It was during these times that donations became a necessary part of our military culture and society. After 9/11, it was decided that we needed to continue this tradition by giving back more than just money. The United States Air Force deploys a variety of gifts to its citizens. The Gifts program helps ensure that the military and civilians have access to the latest technology, equipment and supplies. This year, the Air Force sent a gift to all service members around the world. The gift was made up of nine items: an iPad air conditioner, a digital camera with zoom capabilities, an air rifle with scope, an air pistol with ammunition, a water bottle filter, headphones and a cool weather hat. The items were shipped in boxes that had United States military emblems on them. Each service member received their gift just in time for Christmas. The Apple iPad air conditioner was perfect for use during winter conditions while the digital camera with zoom capabilities was great for capturing pictures of friends and family during holiday celebrations. The water bottle filter was helpful in preventing any sick or contaminated animals from being brought into camp as well as keeping troops clean while on deployment. Lastly, the headphones allowed service members to listen to music without having anyone else hear them since many deployments are long and can be difficult for people to hear over soundchecks and other loud noises.

Doraville is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 9,719 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Doraville is located on the eastern edge of Fulton County and about east of downtown Atlanta. The first European to visit Doraville was Captain James Cook on his third voyage around Cape Horn in 1779. Cook named it "Easter Island" after his homeland of England, but no English people ever set foot there. In 1801, General Andrew Jackson invaded Georgia and named Doraville after General Philip Schuyler's home state of New York (now Albany). A post office was established at Doraville in 1802, and the town has been continuously inhabited since that time. In 1847, a group of farmers from what is now Decatur County founded a new settlement called Northward in what is now northeast Cobb County; they named it after their old home place north of Marietta which had been abandoned due to flooding during the previous year's drought. But by 1850 all these settlements were consolidated under one name: Doraville. By 1860, when America became embroiled in the Civil War, many soldiers had died or been injured while fighting at various points along the southern borderlands; as a result muchneeded medical supplies and troops were brought overland through Chattanooga to help improve conditions inside Confederate Alabama before finally reaching Georgia via an abortive attempt by General Nathan Bedford Forrest to cross into Union territory near Romeoville on October 14th that same year (the failed invasion would lead to Forrest being executed for treason two years later). So when Union forces began moving into northeastern Georgia from early 1861 onwards with seemingly unlimited resources available from Northern Illinois ports - including besieging Atlanta - residents throughout Northeast Cobb County spontaneously converged on their little burg for protection until finally withdrawing just three days afterwards… leaving behind not only their homes but also everything they hadOLED! This event became known as "The Battle Of The Bridge". Within weeks following its occurrence Residents had re-erected 4 large stone markers located outside their doorsstone walls still stand today remaining evidence of this unprecedented community effort….and yet again demonstrated how truly responsive/able Georgians are whenever things get tough! Northeast Cobb eventually voted overwhelmingly against secession during The Civil Rights Movement because they felt that any form of integration would be unconstitutional – even though black citizens living within white neighborhoods continued to suffer through enforcement disparities without any redress whatsoever until buses finally began running between schools serving both races peacefully in 1968

The name "Doraville" comes from the French word "dorée", meaning "bright color." The first settlers in Doraville arrived in 1837. They were farmers and their families who chose to settle near what is now Peachtree Street because it was free from Native American influence. In 1838, James Waddell and his family built a cabin on a rise overlooking the town and named it Doraville after their home village in France. The post office was founded in 1845, and by 1850, there were three stores, five churches (oneMethodist), two schools (one private), four liars' bars, twelve blacksmiths, three hundred acres of cotton land (), twelve miles of wagon road (), four sawmills (), six farms (), one store (). In 1860, John Mosely opened the first grocery store in Doraville (). In 1915-16 when World War I began(), many residents enlisted in service but few returned home as war destroyed so much of Europe. When America entered World War II() most residents had already evacuated or left for safer havens like California or Florida (). One resident recalled that “We didn’t know whether we would be saved or not – we just had to go along with anything that happened…. We all knew our country could use more patriotism than this kind of thing [fighting].” But Doraville stayed put duringWWII effort even as other parts of Georgia took on anindustrial intensity which caused mass layoffs throughout the cityscape () - eventually leading to downtown being abandoned entirely for over fifty years until it was razed and rebuilt during the late 2000s using new technology(). Only after WWII did interest resurgence among locals due to newly generated jobs brought about by post-war redevelopment which led to increased tourism and development around town (). The United States Air Force (USAF) is a service branch of the United States government that is responsible for providing air support and nuclear deterrence in addition to other military activities. The USAF was formed on February 17, 1947 as the USAF Reserve Command. It was activated on November 1, 1949 as the first operational wing of the Air Force. On September 16, 1951, it was redesignated as the 9th Tactical Airlift Wing when its predecessor organization, the 14th Flying Training Wing, was disbanded. The 9th TAW flew Boeing B-47 Stratojet bombers during World War II and served in various theaters of operations including North Africa and Europe before beingactivated at Wright-Patterson AFB near Dayton, Ohio on August 27, 1948. By October 1946 there were two operational wings at Wright-Patterson AFB with 187 aircraft: The 58th Fighter Squadron (57 F4U Corsairs) which flew Republic P-47 Thunderbolts from December 1945 until July 1946; and the 59th Bombardment Squadron (60 B7H2): both equipped with Boeing B-29 Superfortresses which began operations on January 15, 1947. Withdrawing from European combat duty in late 1945 resulted in a need for more capable bombers to replace fighter planes lost in action or destroyed by enemy fire. On October 14, 1946 Congress appropriated $3 million for an expansion of RAF squadrons within USAF so that they could be manned with four bomber groups instead of three: group A would consist of ten Boeing B-17 Globemaster IIIs; group B would contain fifteen Lockheed P-38 LightningGs; group C would have twenty Douglas DC-3 Dakotas; and group D would have thirty Convair P-51 Mustangs converted to bombers under program directive No 508 “Packard Bell”). This appropriation markedthe beginning of what became known as Bomber Command due to its command over all RAF squadrons assigned to USAAF forces stationed abroad at any given time–a concept later adopted by NATO countries. In early 1947 squadron commanders alerted their respective commands about this expansion but no directives were issueduntil May 8 when General Curtis LeMay provided new instructions calling for increased bomber activity around Japan following reports of an air campaign against Tokyo by Japan’s Combined Chiefs of Staff. On November 1st 1949 General Hoyt S Vandenberg assumed commandof Headquarters USAF reserve while Headquarters Far East Air Forces continuedto function under First Lieutenant General Arthur Kerkhoff who had been relieved from his commandof Aerospace Defense Command effective June 30st after sixteen monthson the job. HQ USAF ReserveCommand had responsibilityfor all reservists activated or certified prior to November 1st 1949 regardlessofthe commands operatingin those areas except tactical AirliftWing located at Robins AFB GA which remained congressionally fundedand operated autonomously even though unit commandedby Major General Laughlin O’Neill who concurrently commanded Americas StrategicAir Command/US Strategic Forces Europe/US Strategic Forces Asia based at Robins AFB
