The company remains a major player in the coffee industry and produces some of the most well-known and popular brands in the country. As one of the few remaining coffee companies in rural America, Cedartown has long been an important cultural center for its community. In recent years, however, its history has come to be overshadowed by Neighboring Savannah's rapidly growing coffee industry. The origins of Cedartown Coffee date back to 1884 when John D. Rockefeller and his brothers opened up a small grocery store on Mobile Street in downtown Cedartown. They started off selling beans from their family farm down the street and soon began exporting their beans all over South Carolina and Georgia. By 1912, they had moved their business into a new building on Commercial Street that would house their entire operation - including a cafes, stores, factories and more! The company continued to grow throughout World War II as demand for military supplies increased; during that time they produced some of the world's first instant coffee products! Afterward, they turned their attention back to brewing quality java (and still do today) but did so with a focus on sustainability - ensuring that every bean used is grown sustainably through careful sourcing methods and certifications! In 2006, Coca Cola purchased Cedartown Coffee from its original founders - giving them control over one of America's most iconic brands! Since then they've made many changes to the brand - like adding vegan options (of course!) as well as expanding production into new countries such as Guatemala and Honduras - all while maintaining high standards of quality assurance across all facets of their operations! Cedartown is a small town in Georgia, United States. It is the seat of Fayette County, and it is on the Flint River. The first coffee beans were roasted here in 1792 by Nicholas Biddle. The town was founded on December 6, 1821 by James Neely and his brother-in-law, Daniel Webster. The first store was built in 1828 and the first post office was established in 1830. Cedartown's population peaked at 10,000 residents in 1903 but today has only 4,500 residents.

Cedartown is located on the Cumberland River, about 25 miles northeast of Atlanta. The Claiborne family founded Cedartown on a tract of land that they donated to the state of Georgia in 1811. The original settlers were tenant farmers who supplemented their income with raising crops and harvesting lumber from nearby woods. By 1860, however, Cadetstown had become one of the most prosperous towns in eastern Georgia due to its location and fertile soil. In addition to its thriving economy, CedartOWN also boasts a well-preserved historical district that includes several churches and homes dating back to the 1800s.

Some of the most well-known artisan coffee producers include The monks at St. John's Abbey in England, Roquefort from France, Caza de Arbol in Spain, and Peet's Coffee in the Netherlands.
Cedartown was founded in 1797 by General James Robertson. The town was named for Colonel William Cedartown, who served in the British Army during the Revolutionary War. After the war, Robertson developed a mill on the Chattahoochee River and began to trade goods with Georgia and Alabama. In 1814, he married Maria Stewart and moved his family to Cedartown. The town became an important center of cotton farming and development during the early 1800s. Robertson died in 1828 and his wife followed two years later. The couple's six children continued to live in Cedartown until their deaths in 1848 and 1860, respectively. In 1840, Robertson purchased land east of Cedartown along the Chattahoochee River for $8,000. He built a house there that remains standing today. The family used it as their home until they sold it in 1922 to Jepson Pearson Jr., who also owned a house within walking distance of the original Robertson home. In 1861, Confederate General Robert Ewell took over control of Atlanta from Union General Ulysses S Grant after Battle of Peachtree Creek. Ewell needed new troops so he ordered General John Covington to move forces from Decatur County into Cobb County to support him at Jonesboro Heights near Duluth. Covington disobeyed orders and halted his advance when he heard about what was happening upriver. This event is known as the Battle of Jonesboro Heights, which ended with Confederate casualties greater than Union ones despite Covington's superior numbers.] On October 2nd 1865, Edmund Kirby Smith led Union forces against Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest at Newton Mill outside Ofalltown (now part of Dahlonega). At approximately 3 pm local time on October 2nd 1865 Federal troops under Smith surrounded Forrest while he was eating lunch; however due to Forrest's prior engagement at Newton Mill three days earlier aborting an attack on nearby Fort Pulaski this did not seem like an imminent threat] It has been debated whether or not Forrest actually surrendered due to exhaustion or lack thereof given that most sources give Confederate losses much higher than Federals'. A total of 54 men were killed outright (18 officers & major), 21 wounded (7 Officers & Major), 5 missing (3 Officers & Major) & 9 captured including five high ranking generals which makes Forrest one-seventh off overall casualties
