The Carrollton-based Air Force Museum, which is located at the Eglin AFB airfield in Daytona Beach, Florida, has a rich history of airforce gift giving. The museum’s first gift was an airplane from World War I – a Lockheed P-6A Marauder. In 1949, the Air Force Museum began to give gifts to other branches of the military through its Aircraft Gift Program. Beginning with a Beechcraft Bronco bomber and progressing through fighter jets, bombers and missiles until 1998 when the museum received its first Boeing 747 as a gift. Since then, the Air Force Museum has given over 170 different aircraft and weapons gifts to other branches of the military. One of Air Force Museum’s most famous donations is their donation of the original F-14 Tomcat jet fighter planes in 1976. This was followed by the donation of two additional F-14s in 1978 and 1980. These jets were used by both volunteer groups who flew them for restoration purposes and also by Air National Guard units who were using them for training exercises during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. The former USMC unit that received these jets also made use of them for aerial refueling during their campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq. Today, there are many different types of aircraft on display at the Air Force Museum including models from all eras including WWI era fighters like America’s Wright brothers; Delta II bombers such as McDonnell Douglas DC-3s; American B-2 Spirit stealth bombers; Russian Tu-95 Bear Bombers; RAF Tornado GR4 multirole combat aircraft; Australian F/A-18 Hornets; Polish Soko L1Dassault Mirage IIIE fighters; Egyptian Suara helicopters; Croatian MiG 21bis fighter planes etc etc etc). It is amazing to see all this variety on display at one place! One thing that is always impressive about these displays is how well they are maintained – often times you can find even rare parts like engine parts or cockpit instruments!

Carrollton is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 5,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Carrollton was founded by Scots-Irish settlers in 1801 as a trading post on the Chattahoochee River. The name may be derived from Carrol (a British name), meaning " valley". In 1805, Colonel Robert Epps moved his artillery and military stores to what would become Carrollton from Macon, Georgia after the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. The first school in Carrollton was built in 1807 and it served grades one through twelve until 1850 when a new school was built which became known as Abercorn Academy. This new school also served grade thirteen until 1907 when it closed because of lack of students. A post office called Carrollton was established in 1810 and remained open until 1865. A store named Epps & Son opened in 1830 and continued to operate until 1938. In 1881, an act approved by the Georgia General Assembly allowed forthe annexation of five townships located eastward along the Chattahoochee River: Abercorn, Allatoona Hills, Bloomingdale Estates, Cartersville Heights, and Dunbar Heights; these Towns were reincorporated as Carrollton on December 1st,1881.. As part of this consolidation movement several churches were established including First Presbyterian (1882), Baptist (1884), Methodist Episcopal (1893) and African American Pentecostal (1902). Some significant businesses that grew out of this incorporation include Waffle House founder Joe Craftsman's grocery store which opened its doors on October 15th 1913; Hosiery Millinery chain founded by Mrs Fannie Hawkins with her daughter Hazel Hawkins in 1925; GBI agent Bobbi Cobb's home being used as a law offices during prohibition years; Tucker Chevrolet dealership started by Jimmy Tucker Sr.; Five Points Motel becoming KFC early 1970s before moving to current location across highway from courthouse late 1980s-early 1990s; numerous homes have been erected around current shopping center since then including many high rise buildings now known as "The pagoda" or "The cheeky golden triangle". Today there are still few residents remaining within old downtown core where most shops/restaurants are located today while newer development surrounds shopping center with large apartment complexes being built recently too
The USAF's current primary gift is the F-15 Eagle fighter jet. The USAF purchased the first F-15 Eagles in 1984. The Eagle family of jets have been a mainstay of the USAF's air forces since their inception, and continue to serve as some of its most advanced fighters. In 2013, Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) agreed to sell the USAF an additional 78 F-15E/F super Hornet fighter jets. These planes will replace aging McDonnell Douglas DC-8Cs that were retired in 2006. Air Force pilots often refer to their airplane as "the best airplane in the world." The Eagle family has seen service with many different nations, including both NATO countries and partner countries such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt. lineage continues today with new improvements adding an extra 20 years of service life to each aircraft model! Carrollton has a long history as an agricultural center; its founder, William Hammond, grew cotton and other crops here. The city's current moniker is "The Birthplace of Atlanta." In 1885, Henry Wimbletridge donated land for the creation of what is now Philips Arena; this event helped give the city its nickname of "The City of Light." In later years, Carrollton became an important commercial center due to its location near Interstate 85 and Major league Baseball's Atlanta Braves headquarters. The city also experienced a period of growth in the late 1960s and early 1970s when it became home to several large shopping malls. However, since that time there has been little real progress made towards reviving the downtown core or restoring historic buildings. Despite these limitations, Carrollton remains an interesting place to visit thanks to its rich cultural heritage and vibrant community spirit.
