Satellite Beach is a small community located in Brevard County, Florida. The population was 1,044 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Melbourne-based city of Melbourne. Satellite Beach was named for a small island in Miami Bay which served as a NATO refueling point during World War II. The first permanent settlers to Satellite Beach were two brothers, J.B. and John Cavanaugh, who arrived in 1936 from Illinois. They built a cabin on an existing sugar plantation and named their new settlement for their brother’s birthplace on the nearby small island of Key Largo: Satellite Beach Island (later renamed Key Biscayne). A post office was established at Satellite Beach in 1938 and remained operational until 1959; it was then moved to Melbourne. In 1951, the community became home to its only school when satellite dishes were installed atop a hill overlooking the beach for use by residents and visitors alike. The first teacher, Mrs. Luther Burbank, taught students grades K-8 from 1952 until her retirement in 1970; she remains one of the town’s most noted citizens today. Satellite Beach experienced some growth during the late 1960s and early 1970s as development increased along Interstate 95/SR 511 eastward from Melbourne into Brevard County; however, much of that growth took place outside of town limits due to zoning changes dating back to 1974 that limited building heights within town boundaries to no more than 50 feet (15 m). As a result, little if any development happened within town limits between 1974 and 1984 when all but one house on Key Biscayne Boulevard were destroyed by fire; this exception being notable because at that time there was also significant redevelopment taking place near Turnpike Park off SR 711 just south of town limits which led to increasing traffic congestion on both streets each day during peak hours (see map below). In response to concerns about continued high levels of traffic congestion along key thoroughfares throughout downtown Melbourne after years without any major development or improvement following several years of relatively mild conditions – including no major hurricanes – Mayor Bob Fenton convened an administrative hearing chaired by then Circuit Court Judge emeritus Leslie Weisman on October 10-12, 1984 with members from both sides participating; resulted in recommendations for developing alternative means for public transportation within satellite beach Limits instead expanding I-95/SR 511 through adjoining communities such as Indian Harbour Mallards Pointe & Stonington Cove while preserving many historical buildings within town limits still standing today despite original zoning limitations.; later that year groundbreaking began immediately upon recommendation resulting in over 100 homes being erected over ensuing years with continuing approvals []; finally completed just shy of 20 years later on November 12th 2018 Comprehensive Development Plan / Zoning Amendment No 2 approved unanimously by voters prior to transferral ownership becoming effective

Ornament shops offer a variety of designs, colors, and styles to choose from. Some people choose to get an ornament as a gift for their significant other, while others go for something more personal such as a nice watch or necklace. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to what to give someone on Christmas Eve!
A gift for a man can mean something different to each individual, but generally it is something that the man will appreciate and use. A gift for a man can be anything from a new book to an electric shocker.
Satellite Beach is an unincorporated community in Brevard County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,902 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Indian River Lagoon. The first permanent settler in Satellite Beach was Harry Hines in 1897. A post office operated at Satellite Beach from 1899 to 1912. The name "Satellite Beach" was given to the community by J.C. Sears of Jacksonville, Florida for his property located just north of present-day Satellite Beach on what is now US 1 (the old alignment of US 1). Located right across the canal from where it now stands there were a few small boats and homes used as summer residences by early residents until they could be built closer to water's edge and rely less on sailsboat transportation during winter months when ice covered the canals and waterways froze over. In 1902 a man named Fenton developed land west of present-day Satellite Beach which became known as Palm Bay Estates because he had leased it from Rufus Kingwell (founder of Lakeland) for that purpose. Fenton laid out streets and platted a town called PalmBay which included a courthouse, school, church, garage and dozens of homes - much like today's satellite beach! 1st Avenue ran east-west while 3rd Avenue ran north-south with several blocks open fields between these two avenues being developed into large gardens with tomato orchards, olives etc., still visible today within close distance of modern day Satellite Beach Road/State Road 31E boundaries! A post office serving Satellite Beaches opened on February 14th 1912 under the name "Lakeland". After becoming part of Brevard County in 1916 it continued to serve as an outpost for mailing services until May 1934 when all Brevard County offices were consolidated under one management system! On December 5th 1922 professional golfer Pee Wee Herman played his last Tourney at Jupiter's Club in PalmBay Gardens featuring 6 holes par 4s each totaling 82 yards atop a white sandhillock that would have made Tiger Woods jealous! This event helped spur development around Jupiter's Club with many new home builders starting up businesses such as dry cleaning establishments etc., making this area one of some notoriety back then ! In 1965 Widespread Panic played their last concert at Suncoast Stadium before moving permanently to Hollywood Hills later that year! That same year also saw the opening of Inverness Landing Resort which quickly became one ofBrevardCounty’s most popular tourist destinations offering spectacular views overlooking both Indian River Lagoon & Canaveral Peninsula mainland!!! Continued growth followed including installation of high speed internet access via private lines through state governmentowned facilities soon thereafter making this area well known throughout Southwest Florida region ??? Let’s not forget our favorite locals who continue Surfside Shopping Carting every Saturday morning down South Canal Street past Old World Pharmacy onto Live Oak Street !!
Satellite Beach was originally named "Beach Haven" in 1923. It was renamed to Satellite Beach in 1951 and again to its current name in 1974. The town of Satellite Beach was incorporated on May 25, 1951.
