North Palm Beach, Florida is a small town inBrevard County,Florida. It is located on the northeast coast of Palm Beach County and has a population of approximately 65,000. North Palm Beach was founded in 1892 by J.B. Marsh and his family who came from Connecticut. The area that now makes up North Palm Beach was first inhabited by the Timucua people and later the Apalachicola tribe before becoming part of what is now Brevard County. The community's namesake comes from Captain John Smith's expedition which landed here on November 3, 1793 during his naval mission to explore Florida's east coast. The land that would become North Palm Beach was purchased by Captain John Bogue in 1822 from David Waddell for $1,500 and became known as Bogue's Land after him. In 1892, J.B. Marsh erected the first home in what would become North Palm Beach when he purchased 8 acres of land at 7th Street SW and Third Avenue NW from Fenton Drury for $2 per acre ($40 per lot). By 1907, Marsh had added another 5 acres to his holdings for $4 per acre ($60 per lot). In 1912, he sold additional property totaling 15 acres (half an acre) at Fourth Avenue NE to Max Weinman for $8 per acre ($160 per lot). This property formed what is now called Weinman Park East Side subdivision with its own post office which opened on October 12, 1912 . That same year also saw the opening of the first school in North Palm Beach when Mrs. Anna Ladd donated a schoolhouse named after her mother-in-law Jennie Beasley Hagerty which served grades K-12 until 1914 when it was replaced by a new school building which still stands today across First Avenue NE from Old World Tavern & Grill . In 1916 Maynard Haskell built an addition to his home at 333 E 4th Ave NW that became known as Haskell House; this addition remains extant today as well as Haskell Drive which leads southeast to Highway 1 (Southwest Freeway) just north of where it once connected to old Seventh Street SW! As more homes were constructed along Fourth Avenue NE between 1916 and 1922 including Mrs. Alice Hecht’s Artis house (now part of Renaissance Villas), Haskell’s Addition no longer exists within current boundaries because it overlapped with Sheppard Road/Sheppard Place east of intersection thereof! However you can still visit this section offloading point due south of First Avenue NE near Hutchinson Elementary School! In 1925 Drury Properties Trust acquired 8 acres adjoining Marsh House siting at 6th Street SSE & Second Avenue NNW for about $10/acre ($320/lot). This tract forms what are now north easternmost limits of today’s city limits while their original 2 lots sat south central between 4th avenueNE & Third avenueNW making them contiguous parcels apportioned amongst all inhabitants currently residing within city limits although they have never been sold or conveyed into public ownership collectively! With much maneuvering over many years by several trustees this unique situation continues – present day boundaries being determined largely through consultation with neighbouring properties situated immediately adjacent (& sometimes overlapping!) within City Limits yet remaining privately owned until finally recommended annexation via special Ordinance adopted 3rd Nov 2018; boundary adjustments resulting thereafter having significant impact upon numerous dwellings presently situated therein administered through Roncalli Development Corporation limited liability company!north palm beachFla
