Lauderhill, Florida is a small town located in Lee County, Florida. It has a population of just over 6,000 people. The coffee industry in Lauderhill began in the mid-19th century and has continued to grow ever since. Today, Lauderhill is home to two main coffee businesses: One that specializes in small batch coffee and one that sells pre-ground beans. both businesses are familyowned and operated. The first coffee business in Lauderhill was founded by John Aiken in 1875. Aiken was known for his quality coffee products and sold his beans direct to consumers. His business thrived until the early 1900s when World War I caused demand for goods to drop off significantly. In 1916, John Aiken’s son William took over the business and continued to operate it until his death in 1984. After William Aiken’s death, ownership of the company passed through several families before finally being given to Harry Dickson Jr., who ran it until 2003. At this point, Harry Dickson Sr.'s son Jeff bought the business back from Jeff's brother Robbin Dickson Jr.. After Jeff's death in 2010, Terry Bigham purchased the business from him and continues its operations today as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Company (CBTEC). CBTEC is one of two family-owned businesses that specialize exclusively in small batch coffee production within Lee County; the other is Blue Bottle Coffee Company LLC which operates out of Jacksonville Beach,. Both companies are momandpop operations with a focus on quality product deliverymanship and customer service excellence

Lauderhill is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. Lauderhill is located in the Miami-Dade–Ft. Lauderdale metropolitan area. It is part of the South Florida Regional Statistical Area. Lauderhill was founded by Colonel James Witherspoon Caldwell and his brother Major General Richard Mellon Caldwell on December 8, 1843 as Caldwellsville because they were moving cattle from what is now Fort Lauderdale to Everglades National Park across the county line in this location. Colonel Caldwell renamed it for him and it became a town on February 14, 1845 when voters passed an ordinance to that effect. On January 20, 1907, a fire destroyed most of downtown Lauderhill which included many businesses including the original courthouse and jail; only parts of the old bank remained standing before being replaced by new buildings later that year. The old jail still stands today as part of the city's resource center complex known as "The Jail". In 1951 after years of planning and investment by Mayor Harry Helmsley and his predecessor Johnnie Cochran (the first African American mayor in Miami-Dade County), city leaders declared that Lauderhill was "...the first planned racial integration community in south Florida" with integrated schools open to both white and black children starting September 15th of that year; however all public housing projects were closed due to lack of funds within two years following implementation despite protests from some citizens who felt their rights had been violated. In 1958 Mayor Harry Helmsley ordered City Hall demolition of four blocks north along State Road A1A known locally as "The Flamingo" following concerns about its potential effects on traffic patterns; once demolished these blocks served as undeveloped land until development began around them beginning in earnest around 1970 dubbed "The Mall". As more families moved into inner-city areas such as Overtown or MidtownMiami during this time period much larger housing developments began popping up throughout South Florida including Lauderhill although there have been occasional local protests against these types of developments ever since their inception especially given its limited access to public transportation which has made it difficult for many residents to get around without cars or using private transportation which often costs more than public transportation does; nevertheless overall developers seem happy with how things are currently going so no major complaints can be heard anymore typically speaking). Today downtown Lauderhill remains one of several focal points for cultural activity within Miami while also providing excellent shopping opportunities thanks to its close proximity to popular malls like Bally Malls South Beach & Hollywood Hills or even newer malls like The mall at North MiamiBeach which opened just outside town limits in 2014 - making it hard not to find something you need whether you're looking for clothes or something more futuristic or innovative such as Apple Inc.'s new headquarters CampusAmerica located just down I-95 from downtown! In addition there are several small business districts scattered throughout various neighborhoods adjacent either Downtown Lauder Hill itself or nearby suburbs like Pembroke Parkway & Kendall Lakeshore while also having multiple parks dotted throughout different areas giving residents plenty reasons not justto come live here but also raise children here surrounded by wonderful natural scenery!

Lauderhill is a small town in eastern Broward County, Florida, United States. It is located on the border of Fort Lauderdale and Miami-Dade County. The current population was 2,564 at the 2010 census. Lauderhill was founded in 1892 by James W. Lauder and his brother Edward Lauder. It became a city in 1932 after it amalgamated with nearby Weston and wrote its own charter. In 2006, the City of Lauderhill merged with Miami Beach to form the city of Miami Beach-Miami Dade. The first settlers in what is now Lauderhill were James W. Lauder and Edward Lauder who arrived disease free from Nova Scotia in 1892 on their horseback wagon journey eastward through central Florida looking for new land to purchase or build homes on. James W.'s brother also settled here soon after arriving on horseback as well, making this one of the earliest towns in Broward County by any means! The two brothers started a general store which functioned as both a local post office (1892) and a grocery store until 1924 when they built their own house/mansion - still standing today! In 1902, James W., his wife Lucy (née Marshall), children Linnie and Jimmy Jr., plus their parents set out from New York City for a new life in what would become known as "the beautiful North". They brought with them all they could carry: cows, pigs, horses and chickens - everything that could be found along the then Bauer Road between Weston & Hollywood beaches - enabling them to settle down permanently near what would eventually be called "Lauderhill Boulevard." From here they ran a bakery/grocery business which continued until 1924 when they finally bought their own home which served as their primary residence into adulthood! The early years of this recent town's history were very exciting; businesses such as Mr. Holmes' Bakery (1924), Mrs. Steavenson's Restaurant (1928), Mrs Kapp's Floral Shop(1930) – just to name a few – helped support many families during those early days while also providing opportunities for educational growth for many young minds across our community! Today we continue to celebrate our unique heritage with events such as OurTownFest each year where residents come together to enjoy traditional coastal Americana music & food
