After hostilities ended the squadron returned home arriving back at Miami Beach on December 21st 1946 having made three deployments along with other US Army units during World War II totaling more than 5 months total service with both world wars! After the war ended in 1918, many businesses vacated or closed their doors because of post-war economic recession in Florida.
