After a few years of operation they moved to an old warehouse on Northwest First Street near Ft Lauderdale Airport before returning to their original location at Northeast 2nd Street later that year. By the late 1800s, espresso machines had become common in wealthy European households. By 1920, Dutch roasters had opened their own cafes in Amsterdam and Utrecht; these cafes became known as "Dutch Roasters." These cafes continued to roast their own coffee until 1971 when they merged with Philips Coffee Company to form AB Group. At this point, all of Philips' Cafes converted to Keurig machines which made it possible for them to produce large quantities of cafés at once.
