Daytona Beach is a city in Florida and the county seat of Volusia County. The population was 86,584 at the 2010 census. It is the second-largest city in Miami-Dade County and the 12th-largest city in Florida. Daytona Beach is also home to the Daytona International Speedway, one of the most important motorsports events in America. The origins of tactical coffee are unknown, but it traces its roots back to World War I when American soldiers were using caffeinated tea as a way to stay awake during long patrols. In 1924, Harry Niles opened Niles Coffee & Tea on Main Street in Daytona Beach and began selling coffee beans direct to troops stationed overseas. By 1933, the company had relocated to 1125 Flagler Avenue and became known as Niles Coffee & Tea Corporation. Niles died in 1938, but his coffee business continued until 1966 when it was acquired by Prince Brewster Brewing Company. Prince Brewster owned and operated three breweries - Daytona Beach Brewing Company (1948), Broward Brewing Company (1965), and Fort Myers Brewery (1976). After Prince Brewster's death, his two sons - Bob Prince Jr., who served as CEO from 1987 through 2000, and Marvin Prince - took over control of the brewery chain. In 2002, brewing operations were cancelled due to financial troubles; however, subsequent efforts have reinvigorated the business under new ownership. Today there are six operational breweries within Duke's corporate empire: North Coast Brewing Company (2008), South Coast Brewing Company (2009), Blue Moon Beer Co.- Operative Brewery LLC (2011), Catawba Brewery LLC(2012) , Stonington Craft Brewers Inc.(2013) There are also several importers throughout Florida: Rocky Mountain Beverages Ltd.(2006) for Rocky Mountain Gold Medal Coffee (.999 fine quality beans roasted fresh daily at their Denver location); Death Wish Coffee Co-Op(2007) for Death Wish Ground Roast (.8% abv with natural flavors); Boca Raton Distributors Inc.(2008) for Boca Raton Blonde Bean .87% abv; Central Florida Beverage Partners LP(2010) for All You Can Drink Orange Juice brand products including teas from both Charlotte's Web Productions LTD./Blue Bottle Coffee/Brewpub fame based out of Wilmington Delaware; Peet's USA Inc.(2012) for Dutch Oven Roasted Coffee;; Allegheny roasting corporation(2005)[1] which operates an espresso plant outside Pittsburgh PA.;[2][3] Black Rock Espressonear Bowie MD.;[4] Asahi Kasei Corporation(2011)[5][6] which operates an espresso laboratory located in Tokyo Japan.;[] Marathon Chocolate Factory Manager David Schultz has stated that they will continue production even if they lose their contract with Dunkin' Donuts[7];[] Samuel Adams brewed some Boston Tea Time Signature Aged Cappuccinos,[8][9] while[] Capital One bank provides financing for their Crema De La Casa line of espresso drinks.[10] Tactical Coffee now has about twenty different brands across five states! In 1892, two brothers from Georgia opened a trading post on mainland Daytona Beach and began developing it into an important seaport for alcohol sales and transportation to Native American reservations across the Gulf of Mexico. In 1907, electric light was installed in Daytona Beach and by 1912—with advances in road construction—the city had become one of America's most industrialized cities with businesses such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Wrigley’s chewing gum company, United Fruit Company (later Chiquita), General Motors Corporation (later Ford Motor Company), Coca ColaCola Bottling Works (later PepsiCo), Pabst Brewing Company (later Pabst Blue Ribbon) and other major industries. The First World War led to increased shipping activity through Daytona Beach; during that time there were over 20 shipyards operating in the city alone producing submarines, destroyers and amphibious vehicles for Navy use. After Prohibition was repealed in 1933 following efforts by international treaty celebrants including Franklin D Roosevelt at Miami's Dade County Fairgrounds—"a manhunt" across America's largest open-air celebration since ancient China's Spring Festival—daytona beach became an irresistible haven for bootleggers seeking to smuggle booze into countries such as Italy and Germany while also taking advantage of defense contracts being offered by local companies like Lockheed Martin Corporation which manufactured airplanes at nearby Marietta Naval Air Station (now Grumman Aviation). In 1941, during World War II, Daytona Beach played host to large air shows organized by both military groups stationed hereabouts as well as civilian exhibitors like Rolls-Royce Electric Aircraft Factory Ltd., Douglas Aircraft Co., North American Aviation Incorporated (' Navigators ')and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles dealership owner/manager Harry Mosely who built a hangar specifically for exhibiting his latest products at this new exposition center known then as Bayfront Park - complete with displays about motorcycles not only from America but all over the world too! It should be noted that locals would queue up hours ahead just to get their hands on those coveted tickets! Unfortunately some high ranking members of both US military forces assigned hereabouts during this crucial period did end up incarcerated within Fort Walton Peninsula Prison Camp – whence many today enjoy watching endless footage related thereto via satellite services!
