In addition to his political contributions, Webster also enjoyed a successful career as a mathematics professor at Yale University before he died at age 70 in 1865 due largely to complications associated with Bright’s disease (a form of brain cancer). In recent decades Bridgeport has experienced significant redevelopment which has led to an increase in both jobs and housing opportunities across different sectors such as healthcare, retailing and tech companies respectively.
