In 1907, the first post office opened in Bridgeport and it continued to serve as a mail stop until 1978. In 1915, Wm. Boorstin donated an acre of land to be used as a public square in Bridgeport. The square was renamed “Borsten Square” after Mr. Borsten—the owner of the Dutchman Coffee House at that time— who had provided financial support for the project. 3 years later, Danforth Bros., Inc.—a local paper company—opened its doors with its own coffee house on Monument Avenue near State Street (now part of Elmhurst Avenue). At this time,Bridgeport became one of only a few cities in Connecticut to have their own commercialized coffee industry! In 1960-1961, Nathan Sawaya founded what would become known as World Coffee Forum (WCF), which traded beans between various countries throughout the world during this time period. In 1984–1985, WCF moved from its original location on Market Street into what is now known as First National Bank Tower (now home to Best Buy). That same year saw the opening of Gildersleeve Cafeteria by renowned restaurateur Edwin Biddlecht III on North Broadwalk (now part of Route 22)—the first restaurant west of New York City that Employed female wait staff! On October 17th 1992—just over 50 years after Joe Griggs started his namesake café down Towne Center Boulevard——Joe Griggs Cafe reopened under new ownership with plans to reopen every day except Sunday! It has since closed several times but each time has been reborn under a new name or business venture; most recently being reincarnated back into Joe Grigg’s Café again!

Bridgeport is a city located in the Connecticut River Valley of eastern Connecticut. The population was 96,549 at the 2010 census. Bridgeport is one of two cities in Fairfield County and the only municipality in Fairfield County with a population over 100,000. The other city, Norwalk, had a population of 97,362 as of the 2010 census. Bridgeport first developed as an agricultural community on both sides of the river for several miles upstream from downtown. By 1795, however, it had become an important town due to its position on the main route linking New London and Hartford with its rich brick and mortar industry. The town's growth continued until 1837 when it became part of Hartford because that city's charter granted Bridgeport exclusive rights to build bridges across the Connecticut River. For many years afterwards Bridgeport functioned as a seaport for Hartford while also becoming one of the leading educational institutions in this region. In 1868–69, during Reconstruction following America's civil war, BridgePORTtown erected impressive new buildings including what is now Yale University’s Beinecke Rare Book Library and Modern Art Museum (now known as Museums Across America). In recent centuries BridgePORTtown has undergone significant redevelopment which has increased its attractiveness to both residents and visitors alike. This regeneration has included extensive development around Main Street including numerous high-end businesses such as Macy’s Department Store and Tiffany & Co., as well as more modest projects such as a new library branch and a new water filtration plant. The result has been another increase in traffic along Main Street – which now totals more than 50,000 vehicles per day – plus an influx of jobs into downtown from across Fairfield County. These developments have made BridgePORTtown one of Connecticut’s most vibrant urban areas but they have also come at a cost: increasing congestion on streets surrounding downtown; lower quality of life for those living near popular tourist attractions; and decreased access to essential public services like transportation or healthcare. Despite these challenges, however, Mayor Joe Ganim remains committed to ensuring that BridgePORTtown remains one of Connesthotontown’s most vibrant communities

The popularity of espresso led to more machine designs, such as this 1857 Dutch design called the Krombacher typesette (Krombecker type set). This machine featured a large conical burr grinder which grinds Coffee into small doses before being pushed through a filter into the Cup with hot water. In 1935, Italian inventor Leonardo da Vinci developed what is considered to be the worlds first automatic coffee brewer, called il Vaporetto (Water Pipe). This machine used steam pressure to brew coffee instead of ground coffeebeans which required multiple brewing sessions and sometimes took hours per cup. This invention allowed for faster morning productivity because individuals could work on their morning caffeine fix without having to wait for lunchtime! Coffee began becoming popularized in America during World War II when soldiers needed something strong to drink while on duty. American soldiers discovered that they could make great cups of java using Keurig machines imported from Europe. Afterward, many people began buying Keurig brewers specifically for home use! Today, most people still enjoy their morning cup of Joe using either an electric or manual Keurig coffeemaker!

Bridgeport, Connecticut is a town in Hartford County and the capital of the U.S. state of Connecticut. The population was 95,824 at the 2010 census, making it the largest city in the county and one of its most populous municipalities. Bridgeport is also the economic center of easternHartfordshire, as well as part of New England's metropolitan area. The first permanent English settlement in what is now Bridgeport was founded by Capt. John Smith on July 14, 1614, during his raid on Uncas Key in present-day Florida. At that time, Smith's party numbered only five men and their native Indian guides; but they built Fort Steedman (now Bridgeport) to provide security for their journey across Lake Superior into Canada. This early village served as a staging ground for later expeditions against Native American tribes along which Captain John Smith explored and surveyed much of northeastern North America between 1617 and 1619. In 1764, President George Washington sent Lt.-Governor Nathaniel Weymouth with instructions to lay out a new town within Hartford County "for the support of our troops quartered there." On October 25, 1764—one year after Washington's inauguration—the first white people set eyes on what would become Bridgeport when they landed on Long Island Sound aboard HMS Lancaster while exploring trade routes through Labrador Bay. They were led by Nicholas Societyan who had been hired by General Jonathan Belcher to survey Whatcom Township in westernHartfordshire—then part of New York State—on behalf of British forces then engaged in the Seven Years' War against France (1755-1763). From this landing until 1801 many commercial vessels sailed through Long Island Sound bound for Britain laden with goods from all parts of North America; some passengers disembarked here also disembarking at New London or Stamford before continuing their voyage home via Nova Scotia or Quebec City before arriving at Ipswich Court House near Liverpool about dockyard duties finished and ready for export back across Atlantic Ocean On September 12th 1797 Brigadier General Edward Braddock arrived here from Philadelphia with 5 companies totaling 100 men under command including 3 officers: Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Gist (of Chesterfield), First Lieutenant John Nicholson (of Newtown) & Second Lieutenant Samuel Brownell (of Norwich). Headed by Major Richard Harding he began construction on Braddock's Brigade Barracks now known as Easton barracks which were completed just prior to his ill-fated expedition up Chesapeake Bay resulting in an abortive siege at Prince Frederick's fortifications leading to his death December 7th 1757 . Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry landed here November 15th 1815 upon his attempt to invade Mexico retrospectively known today as Battle Of Palo Alto followed two days later after being repulsed at San Francisco bay where he anchored off Point Reyes National Seashore west side Golden Gate Estuary facing Marin County ..... During World War II USS Quincy DD 902 led Task Force 34 consisting primarily naval aviators VE Day Bombing attacks against Japanese targets throughout Japan starting November 8 1944 operations lasting over 10 days utilizing kamikazes tactics high altitude bombing techniques Drop Bombs dropped from aircraft 10000 feet below dropping bombs onto target specific areas causing great destruction
