Loveland, Colorado is a town in Coryell County, Colorado, United States. The population was 3,711 at the 2010 census. Loveland is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan area. Loveland's economy is based on education and tourism. It has a humid subtropical climate with warm summers and cold winters. The first people to live in what is now Loveland were Native American who hunted and gathered food near the confluence of the South Platte River and Clear Creek in present day Loveland Canyon. In 1855, James Wickersham founded the towns of Centennial (now known as Longmont) and Arapaho (now known as Aspen). Wickersham named his new towns after himself and other pioneers who had journeyed through his region during the Mormon gold rush of 1849-51. By 1870, Centennial had outgrown its small population and was renamed Loveland after Macdonald's Ranch in Alberta, Canada which had been abandoned by its owners during that era of overland travel across North America. Macdonalds Ranch lay within present day Coryell County where it still stands today as an agriculturalenterprise known for its produce such as apples, pumpkins, corn Kernel oilseed spreads etc., although some portions have been developed into neighborhood developments called "Rancho". In 1902 when Boulder was incorporated as a city limits addition to Denver proper it included all current Coryell County including much of what is now Longmont except for what lies east of Apple Rd south of Alamosa road; this land became part of Lone Hills golf course which opened in 1907 just north of I-70/I-25 interchange When Lone Hills Golf Course opened there were only 8 holes; today there are 26! The first professional golfer to play at Lone Hills was Pee Wee Cummings along with Bobby Jones Sr.. Other notable golfers who played there include Ted Rayburn Sr., Jerry Kelly Jr., Lee Trevino III & many more...Lone Hills closed circa 1974 but reopened 2006 under new management www ..a website dedicated to preserving Lone Hills history
The National Guard has been a part of the United States since 1792. The first national guard unit was organized on July 4, 1792, in West Virginia. At that time, the United States had just become an independent country and the militias of various states were not immediately recognized. On July 24, 1792, Congress created a National Guard to serve as a deterrent to any future military invasions by France or Spain. The Guard was initially composed of 9 companies from New York and Pennsylvania. Throughout the 1800s, there were several expansions of the National Guard throughout the country. In 1802, Massachusetts established its own National Guard while Rhode Island also created their own unit in 1806. In 1824, Louisiana also organized their own National Guard unit with help from Great Britain. Between 1837-1846, Missouri also established their own units as part of their militia system after being annexed by Texas in what is now known as El Paso County (now Mexico). During World War II, the organization and activations of the National Guards tripled due to mobilization efforts during both World War I and World War II alone; however because guardsmen are drafted into service rather than conscripted they usually do not receive full pay for commissioning (although some have). This resulted in many Guardsmen serving for extended periods without receiving full pay which often caused them great hardship. However some Guardsmen did receive full pay for their entire term of service including Campaign Service medals which are now presented at special ceremonies honoring those members who served longest in uniform (the current practice is to present campaign medals at general reunions). Since becoming an all-volunteer force under President George H.W. Bush in 1991, there has been an ongoing discussion about whether or not more Guardsmen should be hired for homeland security responsibilities such as counterintelligence work or other counterterrorism duties outside of Iraq/Syria etc., but no decision has yet been made officially - this could likely change given future events such as terrorist threats against our soil etc..

Loveland is a small, unincorporated community in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 953 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of the Pikes Peak National Park. The first settler in what is now Loveland was John C. Fremont, who traveled through this area in 1868 on his way to found Denver. In 1876, A.J. Beattie and his wife established a trading post near present-day downtown Loveland. The post served as a base from which the Beatties ran a ranch and operated several stores in nearby Telluride and Aspen before their death in 1903. In 1912 Lillian Bean started an agricultural cooperative with her husband Edward Bean and other farmers hereabouts; this organization grew into one of the largest dairy cooperatives west of the Missouri River. From 1916 until her death in 1984 Lillian was its president and CEO; under her leadership it became one of Colorado's leading agricultural interests both domestically and abroad.
