Maga coffee is a type of coffee that originated in themagica region of central Africa. The beans were roasted and ground in caves near the town of Mbandaka, which is now the capital city of the nations of Rwanda and Burundi. The beans are then brought to Longmont, Colorado for processing into coffee concentrate. The first mention of maga coffee was in 1892 when Rev. John Wesley Powell visited Mbandaka and discovered a small cave where he found some dark red beans. In 1912, J.B. Noe bought some wild beans from an old man who had grown them on his farm near Mbandaka. By 1922, maga Coffee Roasters had been founded in Longmont by Captains Harry Wernick and Alonzo Fink with help from other local businessmen including Dr. James Bacherman and Joe Kinghorn Sr.. Maga Coffee Roasters has since become one of Longmont's most successful businesses with over 350 employees worldwide! Today, maga coffee is enjoyed all around the world for its unique flavor profile and delicious texture! Thanks to Captain Harry Wernick, J.B. The first coffee shop in Longmont, Colorado opened in 1978. The store was called the Coffee House and served coffee from a truck. In 1984, the Coffee House moved to its current location on North University Avenue.
Longmont is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 3,868 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Denver–Aurora-Lakewood Metropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Longmont was George Washington Carver, who came to the area in 1878. His son, James Carver, founded a company that raised hay and purchase groceries from local farmers. In 1902, the first grocery store opened in what is now Longmont when Wm. Breen and Sons bought the business from James Carver's father. Over time, other businesses joined Wm. Breen's including a bank (1911), general store (1934), post office (1935), dry goods store (1963), fish market (1984), paper mill (1996) and restaurant/bars/cafés (2005). In 1951, an act to create Weld County was approved by the Colorado General Assembly and signed into law by Governor John Connally. The county seat remained at Fort Collins until 1957 when it moved to Longmont after being selected as one of three finalists for the new county seat location following a statewide competition sponsored by the Colorado State Highway Department. The decision was made due to concerns over potential congestion within Fort Collins; however, long distance commuting has not been a problem in recent years because of Interstate 25 trafficcongestion near downtown Denver which leads eastward to Aurora Reservoir on I-25 and westward to Aspen and Loveland on I-70. The First National Bank building still stands today on Main Street in Longmont with its original facade dating back to 1911 which replaced an earlier structure that had burned down two years earlier while being used as housing for soldiers during World War I injuries sustained at battlefronts near Loveland Dam site north of Loveland Lake

The first mention of maga coffee was in 1551 when Juan de la Hoz wrote about it in his book Historia General de Filipinas. At that time, Philippine monks were using ground beans from Africa as their primary source of caffeine. However, due to its high level of bitterness and earthiness, this type of coffee wasn’t popular among commoners. Eventually, traders began importing African ground beans into the Philippines and began exporting them back home in exchange for goods such as rice, sugar cane, and other agricultural products. This new trade route allowed these traders to begin cultivating Coffee trees in areas where they had never ventured before. As demand for this new product grew throughout Southeast Asia, Columbian merchants decided to start selling Colombian-grown beans instead ofAfrican ground beans at lower prices so that consumers could experience what true Colombian-grown coffee was like. Maga Coffee Origins: Columbian trading companies imported African ground beans which were then sold within Southeast Asia for processing into Colombian-grown coffeebeans (the final step being roasting).
