Gourmet coffee has been around since the early 1900s in Boulder, Colorado. One of the earliest coffeehouses in town was The Coffee House on Delaware Street. In 1907, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kahn opened The Coffee House & Cafe on Cherry Street in Boulder, which served as a meeting place for local businesses and professionals. In 1929, Dutchman Harry Janssens opened The Java House at 10th and Downing streets in downtown Boulder. This was one of the most famous Gourmet Coffee Houses in North America during its time! It featuredtrained baristas who made every drink unique to its owner with unique flavor combinations and toppings. Over time other locations followed such as The Java Palace at 16th and Downing Streets which operated from 1949-1978; Dutch Bros./The Java Shop at Broadview Avenue & Broadway from 1978-1986; Holland’s Bakery at 4th Avenue & Yale Street from 1986-1992; Dutch Bros./Java Kitchen at 6TH & Main from 1992-present day Today, Gourmet Coffee remains a popular choice for locals and tourists alike due to their beautiful interior design, delicious drinks,ands great customer service!
The first time I ever tasted gourmet coffee was at a restaurant in London. The coffee was delicious and I loved the way it smelled. After that, I started to love every cup of coffee that I've ever had. In 1896, when Denver became a municipality, Boulder became an incorporated city with a population of 19,813 residents On January 15th 1907 Mayor Hiram Sibley announced that he would not seek re-election due to health concerns but his successor George Wickersham did so On February 2nd 1907 City Council voted 6-3 to annex nearby Arapahoe County as well This action unified Boulder with Arapahoe County and made it one of Colorado's original 92 municipalities In 1912 Boulder hosted the world's first international Olympic Games while also becoming home to two United States Air Force Base unit command centers during World War II On November 17th 1969 voters approved Measure V which created Downtown Districts (later known as Business Districts) all across downtown including portions of Red Rocks Drive

The first coffee houses were started in Venice, Italy in the 16th century and soon began to spread throughout Europe. In 1753, a Dutchman named Hendrik Brouwer founded the world’s first coffee house in Amsterdam. Coffee became popularized as a morning drink in Britain, where it was consumed mainly for religious reasons. However, British traders began importing coffee from America in large quantities starting at about 1600 and by 1790 London had become the largest center for espresso production in the world. In 1846, French wine taster Jean-Antoine Laffitte tasted some Arabica beans roasted at an Italian monastery and declared them “the best cup of coffee that I have ever tasted.” He recommended they be exported to France so that people could enjoy their unique flavor profile. By 1850, espresso was being produced all over Europe and Americans had begun to adopt it as their favorite morning drink. The popularity of espresso led to its widespread use as a commodity crop around the world with different grades of beans available according to quality and price point (einen Kaffeeklasse oder ein Weizenklasse).
