Maga Coffee is a coffee company that has been in business for over thirty years. The company was founded by twoNorwalk natives, John Maga and Charles Purdy. In 1994, the two men decided to change the name of their coffee company from Java to Maga Coffee. Maga Coffee continued to sell their beans direct from the roasters in Norwalk until 2007 when they opened a store in Riverside, California. Since its inception, Maga Coffee has undergone several changes in ownership and management. In 2006, Charles Purdy passed away and was replaced by his son-in-law, John Maga Jr. However, after just one year with the new management team, John Maga Jr.'s father died suddenly which led to another leadership transition at Maga Coffee. This time it was Stephen Jaffe who served as CEO for three years before being succeeded by his son-in-law again – this time with full authority over the business operation. In 2013, maga coffee partnered with Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Caffé inside of Regency Ballroom at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on campus in Los Angeles County (the first such partnership between Starbucks and any coffee brand). The collaboration saw Starbucks provide regular sampling of select beans from their own roastery as well as purchase some ofmagacoffee's beans for sale online only at Starbucks stores across North America during October/November each year.]] With this partnership came an increase in awareness for magacoffee among consumers looking for unique cup experiences not found elsewhere within Starbucks chain.]] In addition to retail partnerships and product sampling opportunities throughout North America; magacoffee also sponsored an international tournament hosted by Baristas League Europe (BLE) which took place during November/December 2014 at Belle Isle Center near Helsinki Finland.-[The event was]]] judged by professional baristas from all around the world who awarded prizes including First Place silver medalist “Carta de Oro” award to magacoffee’s flagship roast blend called “Nirvana Blues”.]]

In 1912, maga coffee became legal to sell across state lines - making it available to more people in Western states like California. In 1969, maga coffee began being served atNorwalk High School as part of their cafeterias' morning meal program. This helped grow the popularity of maga coffee in Norwalk and help make it an important part of town's cultural heritage.
Norwalk is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 382 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of the San Gabriel Valley and is part of the Pomona–Arroyo Grande Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Norwalk area has been inhabited by Native Americans for over 10,000 years. The first European to visit Norwalk was Gaspar de Portolà in 1769. In 1821, John C. Fremont founded what would become Pasadena with land he purchased from the Chumash people. A post office called Norwalk was established in 1826, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1893. In 1886, incorporation ceremonies were held for what would become Pomona; however, the town name never caught on and remains Norwalk's only official designation today (the Arroyo Grande area also includes Claremont and Lancaster). During World War II much of Pomona farmland became war production sites due to its strategic location between Los Angeles and Vegas as well as its proximity to major ammunition dumps. Today many homes remain standing from this time period including: Fox Hills Estates – which still contains evidence of pre-war barracks used by Army engineers; Claremont Farms – a large agricultural community that produced hay, cottonseed oil, flowers, apples and other fruits during the 1920s; Pasadena Avenue – now home to several restaurants including Zocalo Mexican Grill; Peebles Playground – one of America’s earliest playgrounds built in 1911 near where Interstate 210 crosses MacArthur Boulevard today; Angelus Heights – a neighborhood located east of downtown that experienced significant growth following World War II when Korean refugees began moving into Pomona Many residents relocated during these years because job opportunities were scarce after Pearl Harbor ended hostilities in 1941 but some chose to stay because they felt supportive networks had been created such as churches or fraternal organizations
In the early 1800s, African Americans were not able to purchase coffee. In order for them to enjoy this type of beverage, they needed to go through a white person. This is why maga coffee was created. The first time it was brewed, it was used as an infusion beverage. After that, it became more commonly known as coffee. However, there are many different stories about how this drink came to be popularized and in what hands it first saw use. One story has it that a group of freed slaves went on a journey north in search of new opportunities and discovered an area rich in beans and gold. They brought back some of these riches with them and began trading with local tribes for food and coffee beans. Eventually, they found their way into the wider world and started selling their product all over Europe. Another story has it that a man named Martin Luther King Jr.'s father was the one who originated the term "maga." He wanted people to know about his belief that black America could do great things if given proper guidance and support from its own people. This led him to start what would eventually become Operation Breadbasket - which aimed to provide affordable food for low-income families all over the United States starting in 1967. Norwalk is a city in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California. It is located on the north bank of Norwalk River, about southeast of downtown Los Angeles and about northwest of Pasadena. As of the 2010 census, Norwalk had a population of 97,521. The name "Norwalk" was given to the town by Colonel John Stratford Wilcox in 1876 for being unoccupied land between two rivers. The first permanent settler in what became Norwalk was Capt. George Haggerty who built a cabin on the east side of the river near present-day Mission Road and State Street on November 3rd, 1800. From this small community grew up many families that began farming in area now known as Arcadia Township which lay northeast of present day Norwalk on both sides of Mission Road and Riverside Drive (now US 101). Captain Haggerty's daughter married Captain John Gaulding who founded Arcadia Village on October 9th, 1824 at what is nowMission Road and Crescent City Boulevard (now State Street). The village consisted only of six homes with no shops or services but it quickly grew into one of Orange County's most important villages due to its location midway between Laguna Hills and Anaheim Hills. In 1849 Captian James Wetherbee founded another small village called Woodland Heights which later became part OFA Racine Airport (and home to several thousand civilian workers during World War II). By 1870 there were over fifty households living inArcadia Village, Woodland Heights, and other nearby hamlets including Nanuet and East Meadow where El Sobrante Creek flows into the river below today's eastside streets alignment; all these areas lying within what is now Arcadia Township according to original survey maps from around this time period prepared by Jepson & Nevin under direction from then-Governor Manuel Aguilar de la Barrera. In 1876 Colonel John Stratford Wilcox purchased 2 rods from Captian Gaulding for $10 giving him title to 8 acres west side mission road opposite current day Mission Rd/State St., bounded by Santa Fe Avenue on one side & Oak Grove Ave./Pasadena Blvd./Hollywood Blvd./Mountain View Ave./Norwalk River on another side . The land included here was formerly partof Rancho Niguel also currently encompassing almost identical geographic boundaries as that portionrestrictedtoLaguna Hills neighborhood today - makingNorwalkCounty seat until 1906 when it moved southwardalongAlamedaSt.(nowUS101) following annexation by PasadenaCity Limits! Norwalk was founded on May 10, 1848 by John A. Norwalk and his brother Samuel Norwalk. The town was named in honor of James K. Polk, the 32nd president of the United States. The first store in town was opened by Fannie Clements on Main Street in 1849. In 1850, the Norwalls built a log cabin known as "The White House" for their family home. progressive farmers soon began to arrive in the town, and by 1853 there were six stores, two post offices, three churches and four schools in town. In 1861, when California became a state, Norwalk became one of its first towns. In 1915 it amalgamated with other nearby towns to form the city of Riverside.
