The United States Army deploys gifts to the people of West Memphis, Arkansas on a regular basis. This gift was given to local resident JB Littlefield in 1970. Littlefield was then an honor student at West Memphis High School and he had aspirations of becoming a police officer like his father had been. When he saw the rifle being delivered to his home, he knew it would be perfect for him. Another popular gift from the army is ammo. This gift was given to locals in West Memphis during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. During that time, many homes were destroyed by airstrikes and shells from the war. The ammo helped civilians return to their lives and allowed them to rebuild their homes relatively quickly. The United States Army sent a gift to the West Memphis, Arkansas community in 1957. The gift was a 60-ship navy ship called USS Memphis.
West Memphis is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,858 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–South Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by frontiersmen in 1836 as an outpost on the Arkansas River between present-day West Memphis and Pine Bluff. The first post office was established in 1839, and a sawmill and gristmill were built soon afterward. By 1860, West Memphis had become a dry goods store and post office with a population of about 100 people. A school was built in 1884; it closed in 1957 because of financial problems. A new school was opened in 1978; it remains open today as West Memphis Middle School. In 1901, mail service to East Little Rock began; for many years this was the only connection between the two areas. In 1911, WMSU began broadcasting its first radioPrograms from studios located on Main Street; until 1954 it aired programs from Pine Bluff Radio Station KEGL (now KTVE). That station became independent after owner Harry Hays sold his share to AMFM Corporation In 1955, FM stereo broadcasts commenced here from WWJZ (now KMBC) with music programming originated by KRFK/Los Angeles County Network affiliate KLIF which simulcasted WMSU's main schedule during those days In 1975-1976 there were some renovations that took place to both buildings on Main Street which included addition of new roofs and window coverings along with remodeling of interior walls & ceilings As stated earlier due to various financial difficulties that occurred throughout much or all years within our community over time we have decided not pursue any further education or economic opportunities beyond high school diploma/ GED Education currently offered thru local public schools however we are still able to help out financially through helping out family members who reside within our community so please don't hesitate if you would like us to do something for your child or grandchild just let us know!

One of these airfields was called “Etheridge” because it had the most airstrips in Japan at that time. The USAAF used this airport as an dropship landing ground for supply aircraft carrying food, ammunition, water and other essential equipment to our troops fighting in Japan.
In 1861, the Union army deployed a gift to Confederate General Robert E. Lee in order to show that the United States was still a friend and ally. The gift was a boxed set of cigars, which were made from Kentucky tobacco.
West Memphis, Arkansas was a small town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population of West Memphis was just over 1,000 people at the time of the 1960 census. It is now a ghost town, and its only remaining evidence are the ruins of the old school and local cemetery. The town was first settled by farmers in the early 1800s. By 1892, West Memphis had developed into a small community with a Baptist church and two stores. However, during World War II, West Memphis became an important munitions factory due to its location on the Mississippi River flood plain. The plant produced aircraft parts and other munitions until it closed in 1953. The town's only living legacy is its local Cemetery which is still in use today. The cemetery contains grave sites for many residents who died in West Memphis during the 1930s-1960s boom period when it was known as one of America's most vibrant towns for black Americans to live and work."
West Memphis was a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. It was located east of the Arkansas River and south of Memphis. West Memphis was founded in 1892 by J.C. White and his family. The town developed around the White family's grocery store and cotton gin. In 1998, West Memphis became the location of the first execution in Arkansas since 1976. The death of singer Jackie Wilson at age 26 caused a national outcry; however, no executions took place in West Memphis until 2007 when Ricky Ray Hill was executed after serving five years for murder.
