Springdale, Arkansas is home to the first coffee roaster in the state of Arkansas. The coffee beans were roasted and ground by Bob Bogle and his team at the Mount Carmel Coffee Company. In 1912, Mr. Bogle opened a small business in Springdale that served as their source for their famous coffee. The coffee continued to be sourced from Bob’s small business until it was purchased by Starbucks in 1997. Since 1977, the Springdale Coffee Company has been grinding and brewing quality coffees under the name of Battle Creek Roasters. The company has multiple roastings locations throughout Arkansas including Springdale, Little Rock, Arkadelphia, Fort Smith, and even Jacksonville Beach FL. Battle Creek Roasters also produces a variety of espresso drinks such as latte art, cappuccino with milk foam/hazelnut butter or iced latte with whipped cream and chia seeds
