The Air Force deployed gift history in Russellville, Arkansas during World War II. The gift history in this town began with the donation of a plane to the Air Force on December 15, 1941. The plane was named "P-51 Mustang" and was used for training by the pilots of the 64th Fighter Squadron. The squadron flew combat missions over Japan during World War II. In 1945, the Air Force donated another plane to the community called "H-4 Hercules". This plane was used as a ambulance and also served as storage for supplies and equipment for the local airbase. In 1957, another H-4 Hercules was donated to the town by then Governor Dan Quayle. This planes served as both a school bus and an ambulance in Russellville until 1996 when they were retired from service and placed into storage. On November 3, 1992, it was announced that a new H-4 Hercules would be donated toRussellville by then USAF Chief of Staff General Colin Powell. This new aircraft would serve as support for Operation Desert Storm which took place in Iraq on March 20th 1990. The 35th Airlift Wing based at RAF Mildenhall providedlift services for coalition forces flying into Iraq from Kuwait Airport using these helicopters. To date, this is one of only two helicopter deployments by USAF during Operation Desert Storm which resulted in no fatalities or damage to property

Russellville, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 881 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–Jefferson County, Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area. It lies on the eastern edge of the Arkadelphia-Rogers City metropolitan area and is bordered by Rogers City to the north and east, Faulkner County to the south, and Webster County to the west. The town started as a small Methodist village in 1875 on land donated by Judge John Sayers Russell. The first post office was established in 1879. The name change from Russellville to its current name in 1902 when it became an incorporated municipality. The economy of Russellville is based primarily on agriculture with a few small businesses also working in manufacturing or service industries. Agriculture has been the mainstay for many years and continues to be a major source of income for residents. The town has an annual agricultural fair which brings various exhibitors to town and provides opportunity for local business people to get their products before they are available anywhere else. Today, there are several popular tourist destinations within driving distance of Russellville including: Rogers City State Park (a scenic park located about 15 miles east of town), Horseshoe Bend National Wildlife Refuge ( situated about 20 miles northeast of town), and White Sands National Monument ( located about 25 miles southwest of town).

Russellville is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. The name "Russellville" was given to the town by General John Russell after he lost an engagement near Russellville on October 5, 1814. In 1836, Elijah White built the present courthouse and jail in what is now the south side of town. In 1840, Jeptha Bates located a sawmill and gristmill in what is now downtown Russellville; these mills were part of a large tract of land patented to him by President James K. Polk in 1846. two years later he married Sarah Jane Day in this town and settled down there as did his brother-in-law George Hines from Arkansas City also located west of town on what is now US 71 (the old Telegraph Road). In 1852 Jeptha Bates' son Hiram founded Rogers Academy which became one of Russellville's most prominent institutions; it continues to operate today with over 1,000 students enrolled grades Pre-K through 12th grade with full academic freedom! In 1870 Ulysses S Grant visited Russelville while campaigning for election as president; during his visit some friends and family members erected a white stand upon which they sold refreshments for $1 each day throughout the week outside the courthouse square - thus beginning "The Good Old Days" when SRU football games were played at that site! A post office was established at Russelville in 1865; it remained open until 1907. One significant event during this time was when Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest arrived here with 6,000 men on December 7,1865 seeking refuge from General Robert E Lee's army advancing toward Memphis; Forrest camped near Russellville until January 26th when his column moved into Carrollton Cemetery east of town where they buried their dead including three generals - one killed! Russellville was founded in 1827 by a group of farmers led by Capt. John Denton. The town grew rapidly and soon became the capital of what is now Arkansas. In 1870, Russellville became the first city in Arkansas to be incorporated. The population reached 100,000 by 1900 and 300,000 by 1930. As the state’s largest city, Russellville played an important role in developing Arkansas society and economy.

The 1,000-item gift will be delivered in three shipments over the next few weeks. The first shipment is scheduled to arrive on November 25th and will include items like uniforms, hats, jackets, pants and more. The second shipment is scheduled to arrive on December 2nd and will include items like fighter jets and helicopters. The last shipment is set to arrive on December 9th but has yet to be announced.
