After the war ended, the Second Regiment Arkansas National Guards disbanded and its assets were used to form the Third Regiment Arkansas National Guards on July 24, 1865. This regiment also served under Union General Ulysses S. Grant during his presidency and participated in many combat actions including Battle of Cold Harbor which took place on October 17th-18th 1864. After being disbanded again in 1866 it was reactivated as Company D Sixth Louisiana Volunteers Infantry on November 13th 1868 at Jacksonport AR from where it continued service until it dissolved again on January 1st 1903 when all units merged into Parish Department of Public Safety Cavalry Detachment #1 which became known as Company AArkansas Volunteer Cavalry Force (AVF) Today there are still remnants of both organizations present within Rogers Municipal Government through various formations such as Armor Drill Team (A-D), Honor Guard (HG), Cadet Academy (CADET), Ranger Battalion (), Balloon Squadron (). These units often perform community policing events or ceremonial tasks such as participating in Veteran’s Day parade or holding an annual patriotic festival
