The history of coffee in Hot Springs is a long and winding one. The town was founded in 1892 by a group of farmers who decided to establish a new center for the production and trade of coffee. Coffee beans were first grown on the hilltops above the community, but over time, more and more beans were planted down near the creek. In 1927, a small company named Maxwell House began supplying coffee to local businesses. In 1938, the town built its first industrial complex to produce coffee products. The complex included two large roasters—Fiji Coffee Company and Arkansas Coffee Company—and many smaller businesses. Over time, other companies followed Maxwell House's lead and built their own factories in Hot Springs. By the early 1990s, however, production of coffee had dwindled as people switched to other forms of beverage consumption. However, some remnants of this older industry still exist today; Fiji Coffee Company still provides roasted coffee for local restaurants and cafes as well as providing training for local baristas.

By 1887, Hot Springs had become a thriving community with a population of around 1,000 people. In 1924, Hot Springs became an incorporated city and has continued to grow ever since. Today, Hot Springs is known for its beautiful architecture and iconic hot springs properties.
Located in the eastern Arkansas Ozarks, Hot Springs is an unincorporated community located at the junction of U.S. Route 4 andArkansas Highway 309. A post office was established at Hot Springs on October 6, 1882, and remained in operation until it was discontinued on April 9, 1961. As a result of its location within the unincorporated community of Hot Springs, as well as its small population size, most activities here take place within that confines rather than being conducted outside it. The primary economic activity in Hot Springs has been tourism since the area first became popular for thermal baths during the early 20th century; however, today there are also several small businesses serving the local community. Hot Springs is one of two towns in Arkansas that were founded by white settlers after a gold Rush era in which Arkansans explored new territory west of the Mississippi River. The town's founding occurred when David Ladd purchased land at what is now State Route 309 and White Street in 1872. At first known as "Laddsville", or "The Gables", Hot Springs soon became known as one of the most important towns located near where white miners began to arrive after discovering gold along Arkansas' Red Bluff Mining District on July 24, 1871. In 1902, Frank Jarrell opened a hotel/motel called The Ridgecrest Resort adjacent to what is now Loop 1604 Business Boulevard; this motel became one of Arkansas' earliest chain hotels and remains open today.* In 1907-1908 an addition to Hot Springs Township (later named Greeneville) was built north of present day White Street; this addition encompassed much of what presently constitutes Fall Branch Road* east from US 4 south into Stephens County*. When Greeneville Township merged with Springettsbury Township to form Wetumpka County in 1912*, all property within Springettsbury Township boundaries *were transferred to Wetumpka County without paying taxes*; this included much of what presently constitutes Fall Branch Road* east from US 4 south into Stephens County*. It should be noted that Springettsbury Township never paid taxes on any portion of its lands becoming Wetumpka County - all such property passed through original township boundaries unchanged until 1975 when they were reorganized under current county boundaries*** It should also be noted that although portions**of present day Bowie Creek have been annexed by Wetumpka County since 1912*, those same tracts retain their original township/county lines*** Today's residents living within former Springettsbury Township include many who were originally born and raised within incorporated areas surroundinghot springs including Bowie Creek - more people may eventually move outwards given recent population growth rates throughout eastern Arkansas ***

The first commercially successful roasting houses were founded in Venice, Italy and London, England in the early 1800s. The Venetian roaster, Praline Coffee Company, was one of the first companies to roast whole bean coffee for sale to consumers. The London Roasters company opened its doors in 1824 and became one of the leading roasters in Europe. During prohibition era (1920-1935), many American towns and cities developed their own cafes that served freshly roasted coffee with all types of refreshments such as soft drinks and iced tea. Some people believe that prohibition led to a decline in demand for fresh roasted coffee because people could no longer purchase it directly from merchants or brewers. However, research has shown that this is not true at all; during prohibition there were more cafes operating than ever before due to increased trade between America and Europe. Additionally, coffeeshops continued to operate even after Prohibition ended because they were able to sell pre-roasted beans which increased sales by offering an alternative source for consumers who wanted quality coffee without having to buy it ready-made from commercial establishments

Hot Springs, Arkansas is a small town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It has been reported that Hot Springs was founded in 1871 by Captain John H. Jones and his wife Lillie. The first post office was established in 1875 and the first store opened in 1886. In 1902, the Jones family sold the land to Jules Bemis and his wife Nellie for $1,000. Bemis built an addition to Hot Springs Lodge which he named after himself and his wife. The lodge continued to be used as a hotel until it burned down in 1925. A new hotel was built on the same site in 1930 and it remains standing today as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hot Springs. The name "Hot Spring" comes from two places: One is from French "hotte" meaning hot spring or pool, while another is from English "spring" meaning source or origin (cf., American thermometer). AfterCaptainJohnHJones purchased 640 acres of land near present-day Hot Springs Village, he named it'Jones Valley'. In 1871 Captains John Hargrave and Jesse White discovered springs thereabouts which they christened 'Hargrave's Spring' (now known as Old FortSpring). Some time later General William Taney Purchased this area east of modern day Hot Springs Village - naming it Pee Dee Valley after General Daniel Boone - and started making mineral baths here with sulphurous water drawn from underground mines northward via a pipeline across Big Bone Mountains into Arkansas; these baths were also called 'Purchases Baths'. By 1888 Pee Dee Valley had become so well known throughout Arkansas that Governor James Fenton ordered all state highway signs erected showing Pee Dee Valley leading out of Little Rock towards Jefferson City; this became effective December 25th 1889 at 2 p .m . Eastern Standard Time! Colonel Edwin Vail (1862-1927) who organized First Baptist Church of Little Rock then served as its first pastor located at 505 E Capital Ave NW (later moved to 211 S Capitol Ave.), supervised construction of present day Main Street which ran along Alabama Avenue between First Baptist Church property east of Capitol Plaza & Riverfront Drive NW - just south of present day Interstate 40 frontage road; during construction some 20 buildings were erected including several hotels!, physician's offices & stores! Overlooking Confederate Soldiers Cemetery on Main Street east side now occupied by apartment complex! Today part of First Baptist Church property adjoining Interstate 40 frontage road continues to offer excellent views over cityscape!
