The history of coffee in Hope, Arkansas dates back to 1901. The first coffee shop in town was opened by J.B. Beasley and his wife, Nannie, on Main Street. The Beasley Coffee Shop became the nucleus of what is now known as the downtown district, which includes the city hall building and most of the businesses that still stand today. In 1912, William Gentry founded Gentry Bros., a grocery store and cafe that became one of the most popular spots for coffee around town. In 1925, Clarence Swayze started brewing his own chocolate-flavored coffee at his home on First Street. This café/brewery remains open to this day and produces some of the best quality Ethiopian coffees in the area. In 1950, Hope residents voted to annex neighboring towns of Dexter and Poplar Bluff into their community for economic reasons. As a result, Hope began receiving more customer traffic from those outside its boundaries than from within it – an anomaly that has continued to this day! Hope's rich coffee history begins with JB Beasley's humble beginnings – he opened up shop in 1901 because he wanted to bring quality java to townspeople who had stopped coming to Starbucks or other local cafes due to competition from national chains such as KFC and Dunkin' Donuts (At that time there were only three Starbucks locations in Arkansas). Since then, many talented individuals have worked at different aspects of our beans-grinding process–from roasting masters like Donny Darko & Tony Kanaan through packaging engineers like Jerry Wehner and Russ Cohen–all working together towards creating a cup with flavor excellence above all else. From roadside cafes where people would pour their morning Joe over a mug of hot cocoa or just sit down for a chat while sipping on peppermint tea (yes!), we've come a long way since JB Beasley set up shop here thirty years ago!

Hope, Arkansas is a city in Hope County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 4,898 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hope County. The first coffee beans were grown in what is now Hope in 1875 by Johnathan Barnes and others from nearby Carrollville. Coffee beans were ground and sold to local farmers until World War II when a large storage depot was built at what is now Mill Creek that made it easier for farmers to bring their crop to market. In 1949, the first store opened in town and named "The Coffee House". The name has been changed many times but the basic concept remains: selling coffee and pastries from a shop on Main Street. In 1966, Forrest Kelley became mayor of Hope after being elected as a Republican to succeed his father who had served two terms as Mayor. He helped create the city's first fire department and also invested in modernizing the city government including creating its own police force which still operates today. Kelley also founded the First Baptist Church (now First Presbyterian) which was located on Main Street in downtown Hope before moving it out into new facilities across town in 1978. Hope has graduated more college students than any other city in Arkansas – over 100 per year – making it one of America's top recipient cities for Hometown Hero Awards since they began honoring these programs 40 years ago!
Hope, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Pine Bluff Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hope was founded in 1887 by Luther Price and his brother-in-law Charles A. Schwenk. They named it for their mother's hope that God would help them find a place to settle. The town developed slowly until the arrival of the railroad in 1916 made it possible for people to commute to cities and jobs in North Little Rock and other towns throughout the state. Hope has a rich history that includes several notable events: 1) The first church services were held here on October 12, 1887; 2) Hope became an incorporated village on December 24, 1916; 3) On September 13, 1948 (the date of nearby Pine Bluff's incorporation), Hope united with North Little Rock to form the Little Rock–NorthLittleRock metropolitan area; and 4) In 1993, Hope hosted its first international festival which attracted over 100 countries' visitors.

Hope is a small town in central Arkansas, located on the White River. The population was 1,711 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Little Rock-Fayetteville-Springdale, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hope has a history dating back to 1836 when settlers arrived here from Kentucky and Tennessee. They named their new community "Hope" after the hope chest found near Mount Zion Baptist Church in Glasgow, Scotland. Hope was incorporated as a village in 1902. By 1907, it had a post office and three churches: Mount Zion Baptist Church (founded in 1903), First Presbyterian (founded in 1907), and Methodist (founded in 1909). In 1928, Hope became an unincorporated community with full local government powers. In 1935, Hope began to experience significant challenges due to its location on the White River between two major cities – Little Rock and Fayetteville – which made it difficult for farmers to get their goods to market. A group of investors led by J C Thomas bought land adjacent to Hope and developed it into what is now known as The Bottoms neighborhood of Hope Valley Park. This development helped improve access to food for local residents and created jobs for local milliners and tailors. The Bottoms area also became home to many small businesses that thrived during the Great Depression because they were able to sell goods directly to consumers instead of through larger retailers
