The United States Air Force is one of the most powerful organizations in the world. It has a variety of aircraft and weapons that it can use to conduct operations around the world. One of the organization's most famous gifts was to Harrison, Arkansas, in 1948. The city was named after then-Secretary of Defense James Forrestal and local congressman George Wright. The gift was a set of Boeing 707s, which were donated by Boeing president Neil Armstrong.

These planes were all donated in memory of fallen service members orphans who were unable to purchase their own plane or helicopter due to financial limitations.

Harrison is a census-designated place in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Conroe Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Harrison community was founded by two families in 1907. The first family to live there were the Smiths, who came from England. They built a cabin on a piece of land they owned near where Harrison now stands. In 1925, the second family to settle there, the Rankins, moved into a small house on Main Street and began raising chickens and pigs that they sold to local farmers. By 1930, they had bought a large piece of land next door to their original cabin which they used for hog farming and orchards until 1940 when they sold it to Harry Shafer for $800 cash. In 1948, Mr. Shafer donated his acreage adjoining his farmstead (now called Green Acres) to the town of Harrison for use as an open-air school playground and park with tennis courts, Soccerfields and more than 20 ponds including one that served as an overflow pond during floods due to severe rainstorms in neighboring townships such as Arkadelphia and North Little Rock. It wasn't until 1974 when voters decided that improvements could be made on this valuable property so it became available for residential development again with 3 homes being built right off of US Hwy 59/Arkadelphia Rd just south of FM 722/Harrison Ave (the old RR line). The name "Harrison" was given back to the community by Mrs. Dickie Rankin after her son brought home some wild hogs she had been keeping at her parent's farm north of town while he was attending high school in nearby Arkadelphia AFB serving our country overseas during World War II - making him one less generation removed from our history & culture!
The USAF has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with the Swissair Group. This relates back to World War II when both countries were allies and together, the RAF operated in Switzerland. The two companies have continued this partnership ever since, with Swissair providing a vital airlift service for the USAF during many campaigns around the world. In 1965, when Swissair merged with Air France, the USAF was one of the first organisations to benefit from this merger. In 1978, they formed their own air force division - which still exists today as part of Strategic Air Command. It is worth noting that this division was not created until after Air France had been sold to EADS Airlines in 2006. This long-standing relationship has seen many Improvements for both parties involved; specifically, Swissair has been a key player in helping to develop new aircraft technologies such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A330 family planes. As well as providing support for numerous operational missions around the world, their contributions also include sponsorship projects such as The America’s Cup yacht racing series and Formula One racing on behalf of American Airlines (now American Airways). Despite these years of success, it remains clear that there are some areas where further development can be made across different areas within both companies including technology and marketing collaboration outside of just aviation products/services. These collaborations have helped make Swissair an even more respected name within the industry – something that will no doubt continue into future generations!

Harrison, Arkansas is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 786 at the 2010 census. Harrison was founded in 1881 by John and Elizabeth Harrison. The first post office wasestablished in Harrison on November 12, 1881. The town name derived from John's father-in-law's home near the intersection of plantations in what is now Pulaski County. The Harrison familyowned extensive cotton acreage east of the city of Little Rock and also farmed land west of the city limits. In 1886 they built a two-story frame house on Main Street which served as their primary residence until their death in 1915. They were buried at Elmwood Cemetery there with many of their children and grandchildren including future Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus and First Lady Rosemary Gardner Faubus (1916-1974). Their three daughters - Alice (1885-1965), Patsy (1887-1970) and Nellie (1889-1972) - married into other prominent families inArkansas during the 1920s and 1930s including Judge Roy Bean (1920-) who became one of Little Rock’s most influential boosters; James Easley Davis (1924-) who became an important figure within the Democratic Party through his work as president of State Highway Commission; Drayton Floyd Davidson (1927-) who served as mayor of Little Rock from 1951 to 1957; Edith Mae Easley Boyd ((1928-) until her death in 2018); and Gladys Boyd Todd ((1945-) until her death). After World War II, large quantities of cotton were grown here by white farmers while black farmers continued to grow subsistence crops such as corn, beans, potatoes, raspberries, sweet potatoes etc., providing some local employment for those locals when needed but not always stable or desirable farmstead life outside cities/towns/villages when opportunities arose due to changes brought about by technology advancements new products available on open marketsindustrial production had given rise to Urban Development since WWI expanding beyond small towns seeking tax base suburban growth characterized "the New South" this process accelerated during WWII suburban real estate speculation resulted Sherman Minton campaign slogan: "Murder our Negroes – Let’s build housing for American citizens" government development assistance programs encouraged blacks began moving out into areas mainly northcentral Pulaski County having access to Interstate 20 highway Economic diversification projects increased agricultural production along I–20 corridor focusing on feedlot livestock raising crops for export market expansion attracted more blacks military service generated numerous Black Owned Businesses African Americans working downtown businesses transitioned into whitecollar jobs ensuing Great Migration
Harrison was founded in 1872 by J.D. Harrison, a businessman and landowner. The town grew rapidly during the early 20th century, thanks to its location on the Arkansas River and its access to transportation and business opportunities. In the 1940s, Harrison became an important center for cotton production in the region, and remains a major agricultural center today.
