The first shooters in Forrest City, Arkansas were a group of six men who founded the Gun Club in 1892. The club used weapons made of local scrap metal and wood to shoot at targets near the town square. The first NRA class was held at the Gun Club on November 6, 1892. The club's pistols were used to shoot at a target inside the old courthouse. The Gun Club disbanded in 1895, but another group formed called the National Rifle Association (NRA) in 1903. The NRA helped organized shooting competitions and provided training for new shooters. In 1915, the NRA created an organization called the National Shooting Championship Committee which consisted of twelve members to organize shooting matches throughout America. From 1915-1920, Forrest City hosted two annual Nationals; one in 1916 and one in 1919. In 1923, Forrest City became officially known as “FORT WORTH” when it was ratified by Congress as a city under state law. It would be another thirty-six years until its name change again to Forest City – this time through amendment passed by the Arkansas General Assembly – becoming an incorporated city with its own government on December 1st, 1949! As Forest City grew older it began to lose some of its historic charm with buildings being replaced with more modern clones or conversions that often failed to meetfirearm safety standards or upheld faded traditions such as using lead shot instead of copper slag when firing ammunition from guns dating back over 100 years! However there are also examples such as Smokey Joe’s Bar & Grill which has been preserved as an example of traditional Americana along side other original businesses like A&W Root Beer Stand and Chinese Takeout!

Forrest City, Arkansas is a small city located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 5,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. Forrest City is home to the Forrest City National Forest and two national parks: the nearby Fort Smith National Military Park and Doane's Bluff National Monument. Fort Smith served as the seat of government for Pulaski County from 1821 until 1867 when it became a part of Fayetteville. In 1901, Fort Smith was redesignated as the capital of Arkansas; when that state merged with Missouri on January 3, 1907, Fort Smith continued to serve as its capital. The history of Forrest City begins with John Wesley Hardin who settled in what is now Forrest City in 1873. He operated a grocery store/road-side restaurant called "The Hogs" which he built on his property which still stands today. The first post office in Forrest City was established on May 14, 1879 by Colonel George Eads and named "Aurora." It was later renamed "Forrest" before becoming "Pulaski." In 1911, the post office moved to its current location at 608 N Main Street after being destroyed by fire in 1908. During World War II much development took place within Forrest City due to military activity such as munitions plants and aircraft production facilities that were located there during that time period along with other activities including housing developments for workers who produced goods for military use orexport like airplane parts and other products used overseas during World War II such as Ford Pinto car parts made in America while Japanese people worked at local factories making similar products domestically during that time period known as 'Gulf war Export'. Many streets and businesses were named after servicemen or members of their families who died during World War II such as 1st Lt Alvin J Edmonds Boulevard (named for Lieutenant Alvin J Edmonds who fought in Europe), First Sgt Earl Rayburn Boulevard (named for First Sergeant Earl Rayburn who fought at Okinawa), Sgt Milton Sikes Boulevard (named for Sgt Milton Sikes who fought at Iwo Jima) among many others

Forrest City, Arkansas is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. It has been the county seat of Pulaski County since 1871. Forrest City is located on theArkansas River and is bordered by Little Rock to the north and east, Fayetteville to the south and west, and White Sulphur Springs to the northwest. The town was founded in 1871 by General James W. Carrington as Fort Carrington following his victory over Indian forces at Battle of Fort Smith in 1868. The fort served as a base for trade withIndian Territory until it was abandoned in 1902. In 1906 Forrest City became an incorporated town under Act 7 of that year; it had a population of 498 residents when it became an incorporated city. The original name for Forrest City was Arkadelphia but due to its distance from Little Rock (then known as Pine Bluff) and other major cities, Arkadelphia was chosen instead for what would become Forrest City proper. In 1975, Forrest City became home to the first electronic waste recycling plant in Arkansas when Ciba-Geigy moved its operations from Gadsden to a new facility within the limits of Forrest City Municipal Airport just outside town limits. That same year also saw establishment of local government within downtown Forrest City through incorporation with Mayor Harry Hindman serving as first mayor while Commissioners Joe Harper and Arturo Castillo held office concurrently with Mayor Hindman until their removal effective January 1st 2001 pursuant to Act 5-2001 which changed municipal government rules after surveys showed they could not effectively serve both jurisdictions without breaking away into two separate entities unable to work together effectively Forrest City has long been an important transportation hub for central Arkansas; its address makes it one of only three U.S.–Canada crossings between those countries without customs duties or tariffs – along with Buffalo Niagara Falls and Windsor Ontario across Canada’s Niagara Peninsula . The 1990s saw significant redevelopment around downtown including renovation/addition of several blocks eastward along Main Street from Interstate 20/Upper Loop Road all the way back up Broadway Avenue allthe way into North Little Rock ; this project cost $14 million dollars which included demolition/construction of over 100 homes/condos within block boundaries on Main Street between I-20 & Broadway Ave
Forrest City was founded in 1881 by W. H. Forrest and his son, W. C. Forrest. The city was named for General William Taney, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and been a delegate to the peace conference at Paris. The Forrester family also donated land to the city for its construction. In 1902, Forrest City became the capital of Arkansas after it was moved from Little Rock to this location in order to house the state government. In 1928, Forrest City became a county seat of Arkansas County after it was separated from Pulaski County.
