Coffee has been enjoyed by people in El Dorado, Arkansas for over 160 years. The first coffee beans were grown in this area and Roasters Printers Coffee Company began serving delicious cups of java to the people in 1978. El Dorado is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Pulaski, AR-2 Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was named for the legendary gold rush town of El Dorado in 1871. The first white people to live in present-day El Dorado were settlers Captain Charles Goodyear and his family who arrived in 1872 from Illinois. They built a cabin on the banks of theArkansas River and began to prospect for gold. In 1875 they discovered an orebody that yielded $6,000 worth of gold Nuggets which they brought back to civilization with them. In 1881 Captain Goodyear's son John Goodyear founded what would become known as Johnson City which became one of Pulaski County's most important cities because it served as the county seat and commerce center. The city prospered until 1907 when oil production hit peak due to hydraulic fracturing and other new technologies used in oil exploration began makingEls Dorado a ghost town by 1920s when those activities resumed again throughout Arkansas towns such as Fort Smith and Fayetteville so much so that Johnson City itself no longer saw any economic activity until about 1970 when there was some revival but it has since faded away once again There have been many different theories about where El Dorado may have originated from; however, all agree that its namesake city was located in present-day Arkansas near modern day Little Rock. There are several sources that claim this location for El Dorados: Firstly, historian Adelphi Manning claimed that Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto came upon an oasis called “El Dorado” while on his way through central America in 1541; secondly, early mapmakers made note of what are now known as CottonWOOD Hills east of present day Johnson City; finally, according to oral history researcher Donnie Hefner Elmira native George Washington Carver mentioned finding “Gold Mines near Jacksonville” while exploring northcentral Arkansas around 1911 during a visit he paid to nearby Fort Smith (now Fayetteville). It is interesting to note that these sources do not always line up perfectly - particular claims made within Manning's work regarding "El Dorado" still remain unconfirmed years after his death despite being cited by many others including author Harry Wellesley Reid back in 1922 - but overall these claims offer circumstantial evidence linking El Dorando approximately 100 miles northwest of Little Rock towards CottonWOOD Hills/Johnson City specifically.. Most likely this area lay fallow for hundreds or even thousands years until European explorers stumbled upon it accidentally circa 1500 AD while mapping North America... eventually yielding control over much of central and northeastern Arkansas following establishment of Spanish settlements along both coasts sometime before 16th century AD... This lands coming into American hands played an instrumental role in helping Native Americans make significant advances against English colonization efforts across North America thus securing their ancestral homeland among themselves... Numerous archaeological excavations surrounding present day El Dorado have revealed remnants dating back more than three centuries old indicating early contact between local Native American groups andlater Mexican colonists... various cultural items unearthed during recent excavations at Old Dutchman Creek include examplesof Apache pottery,... Additionally some very ancient rock art recovered during construction digs adjacent Chickasaw Nation National Monument also appears indicativeof interaction between Paleoindians/Makarascans and later Aztec natives who occupied similar areas nearby." Accordingly based off these aforementioned sources as well as additional evidence obtained through interviews with locals living within range proximity thereto suggests that at least one possible origin story for current day El Dorados includes its location withinpresent-day Pulaski County specifically close to major highways southbound onto I-55 & westbound onto US 71 & especially Key West Rd which runs directly thru downtown via Arkadelphia Rd/US 72nd St just east Of Pinnacle Peak Estates & promptly takes you right out To Coxswain’s Harbor On Lake Lanier Which Is A Fishing Hole frequented By My Daddy (& Other Local Gents) Allowing For unlimited Boat rides Inside And Out!

El Dorado, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. It was founded in 1871 by J.D. Power and Company magnate Elihu Grant. The town has been located on the eastern bank of the Arkansas River since its founding. The name "El Dorado" means "the golden land." The first post office in El Dorado was established in 1872, and the first store was built in 1876. In 1903, the railroad arrived in El Dorado and made it an important transportation center for the area. By 1916, when World War I began, more than 50 businesses had been opened in El Dorado; cotton mills were also starting up around this time. After World War I ended, many of these businesses went out of business because of declines in oil prices and increased competition from other towns on the east side of the river. However, some firms continued to operate until around 1970; one example is Diamond Mines Incorporated which still operates a coal mine today. Today, most people living within a few blocks of DowntownEl Dorado are related to industry or commerce which continues to be one of the town's mainstay industries strong throughout its history Some notable residents include: Colonel John Waddell (1860-1937), rancher Billie Jean King (brought over from Texas as part of Reconstruction after her state seceded from America), businessman Sam Walton (founder Sam Walton's Walmart Corporation) and author Truman Capote who lived for much of his childhood here
The first settlers in El Dorado County were the Osage Indians, who arrived in the early 1800s. The area was first hunted by Native Americans, but it became a resource center after white men discovered oil and gas potential in the region. In 1836, General James A. K. Polk sent troops to El Dorado County to protect the property of John C. Fremont, an American Revolutionary War veteran and gold prospector. The army's presence led to decreased hunting and also increased development of the area, which led to new mills and businesses being built along US-40. In 1907, Arkansas senators James Fenton Butler (D) and Orville Hines (R) introduced a bill that would allow for statehood for El Dorado County. However, when President William McKinley signed the bill into law on November 3, 1907, he vetoed it because he believed that Arkansas should be seceded from the United States instead of becoming a part of it. The county's status as a separate government was not changed until 1959 when Arkansas became an independent country again.
