The Cabot family has beenabilia collectors for over 120 years. One of the patriarchs, Samuel Cabot, started selling items from his home in 1853 and soon became known for his fine art and antiques. In 1865, he moved his business to a larger location on Elm Street in downtown Cabot. The family continued to sell items until 1988 when they sold their entire collection to the Arkansas Museum of History and Art.
Cabot is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 3,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Henderson, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. Cabot is located on the Arkansas River just south of North Little Rock and north of Fort Smith. One of the most important events in Cabot's history occurred in 1814 when James K. Polk became president of the United States. At that time, Cabot was one of only two towns in Arkansas that had voted for Polk as president because he represented their state at home during his term as senator from Tennessee. Cabot also experienced some interesting moments during its early years including being chosen to be the temporary capital of Arkansas following Fenton's death in 1836; hosting a territorial convention which resulted in creation of Indian Territory; and becoming one of four stations along the new railroad line connectingLittle Rock with Fort Smith and other eastern settlements. But even more memorable moments occurred after Cabot’s incorporation as a city on November 14, 1907 when more than 2,000 people gathered to celebrate its official designation by ordinance from Pulaski County Judge John Laddeus Price III who declared it “the first municipality organized within this county since [Fenton] erected his seat hereabouts several years ago” The celebration included a parade down Main Street followed by an open-air dinner at City Hall attended by many civic leaders such as Mayor A C Hargrave and Judge Price himself who made remarks about how much easier life would be if all municipal functions were centralized under one roof. The successes achieved by Cabot throughout its growth are numerous: becoming both an important node on Arkansas Route 66 and home to over 2,000 residents; experiencing steady economic development until 2000 due to various initiatives led by Mayor Dick Simonson including building a new downtown district which has become known as "The Square" ;hosting numerous annual festivals which have brought people from all over into town for various activities such as arts & crafts demonstrations or concerts headlined by local artists; becoming host city for the Ark Encounter theme park - one of only two theme park destinations worldwide - making it possible for visitors from around the world to enjoy attractions related toArkansas culture while still close enough to experience traditional Americana

Cabot is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. It was founded in 1851 by Captain James A. Cabot and his family. The original settlers were white men from Massachusetts who arrived on the Mayflower and named their new community after Sir Francis Drake, then the governor of Plymouth Colony. The first post office in Cabot was established in 1854, and it was renamed to its current name in 1868. The town grew rapidly during the late 19th century due to its location at the crossroads of several important trucking routes. In 1902, Cabot became one of 36 towns incorporated within Pulaski County under the provisions of the Arkansas Towns Act. In 1916, Cabot experienced its first tornado when a severe storm struck the area. The tornado killed six people and injured many more; it remains one of the deadliest tornadoes in Arkansas history. Today, Cabot is an agricultural center with a population of about 350 residents; it is also home to several businesses such as Walmart and Sears stores.
