One of the first coffee roasters in Arkadelphia was Mr. Harry Grieve, who started roasting beans in 1906. He continued to roast beans until his death in 1978. His son, Frank Grieve, took over his business and ran it until he passed away in 2000. The business then passed down to his daughter, Dee Grieve, before she sold it to Steve Bischoff in 2007. Steve Bischoff is the current owner and operator of Arkadelphia Coffee Roasters.
Arkadelphia is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arlington, AR Combined Statistical Area. Arkadelphia has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa) with hot and dry summers and mild to cool winters. The first humans to live in what is now Arkadelphia arrived during the late Pleistocene epoch, around 11,500 years ago. Archeological evidence suggests that human activity in this area began as early as 9800 BC. By 6000 BC, people were using pottery and other artifacts dating back to that period for personal use and trade with other areas within present-day Arkansas and Missouri. The original residents of Arkadelphia were Native Americans who took up residency here about 1275 AD after migrating from northern Illinois. They called their land "Arkansas," meaning "land of the Arkansas River." Over time, other groups moved into this area including European settlers (mainly English), Japanese immigrants (1941-1945), Arab Muslims from Lebanon (1979-1981), Mormons from Utah (1847-1849), Hispanics from Texas/Mexico City (1946-1948), blacks who had escaped slavery in central America (1861-1865), and others during various waves of settlement throughout history. Beginning in 1868 when members of the Baptist Church organized a congregation here, Arkadelphia became an important center for religious worship in southern Pulaski County because it had then been one of only two communities east of the Mississippi River without any formal churches or denominations specifically based there. The Baptists continued to beactive here until 1907 when they merged with the Methodist Church to form one large denomination known today as Methodism USA. In 1932 when Pulaski County was dissolved into three counties - Pulaski, Fayette, and Washington - Arkadelphia joined Fayette County resulting in its current name which it retains to this day:Arkansas City District School District No. 1

Arkadelphia is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,847 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Port Conway Micropolitan Statistical Area. Arkadelphia is located on Arkansas Highway 7 about 12 miles (19 km) northwest of the larger city of North Little Rock. The community was founded by Isaac Jones and his family in 1877 as an unincorporated community named Arkadelphia Landing. In 1881, the Joneses moved to their current location and changed the name to Arkadelphia after they acquired land east of what is now Interstate 40 near where Tulsa Road crosses US-61W. The first post office in Arkadelphia opened in 1882; it was closed in 1916. In 1896, Arkadelphia voters passed a bond issue for a new schoolhouse and town center; construction began that year and the building was completed in 1897. That same year, the first general store opened in Arkadelphia; it continued to be operated until 1951. In 1907, statehood was granted to Arkansas; as a result, the town's name changed from Arkmonton Landing toArkansas City effective January 1, 1908. During World War II,Arkapolis Naval Air Station (now known as NAS Jacksonville)was located just northeast of town on White Sands Lake . Naval aviation played an important role during World War II with many Navy pilots flying off aircraft carriers such as USS Enterprise (CVN 31), USS Lexington (CVN 65), USS Yorktown (CVN 42) and several Japanese submarines In 1957, due to budget cuts within NASA Headquarters which were then being implemented throughout all federal agencies nationwide - including NASA -arkendale's Naval Air Station closed its doors forever after only having been open for 3 years originally! This marks one of the shortest life spans for any FAA facility ever!
