El Mirage is a small town in Coconino County, Arizona. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1907 by Elmer Fenton and his wife Alice. The town name comes from Spanish "elmiraje", meaning "the mirage." In 1909, when El Mirage was only a small community, it had a post office and one store. In 1912, the first school opened in the community; it was called Highland Park School and taught grades one through twelve. Over time, other businesses were added to the community: a restaurant in 1916, an auto parts store in 1922, and a gas station in 1930. In 1937, El Mirage became an incorporated municipality with its own government; it had two schools (one public and one private), three stores (two general merchandisers and one hardware store), four churches (two Methodists and two Baptists), as well as a fire department. In 1951, after years of growth thanks to oil production along Interstate 10 near present-day Phoenix's east side – which led to increased traffic on rural roads – El Mirage annexed portions of Mesa City (now known as Mesa) so that its residents could access more services within their new municipal boundaries. On July 1st 1959 voters approved becoming associated with Phoenix proper rather than annexing Mesa City because they felt that this would give them more control over local infrastructure development while still remaining within their municipal boundaries; on December 7th of that year theyBecameAn Incorporated Municipal Corporation under the name of "El Mirage". There have been few changes to the municipal government since then: elected officials include Mayor Tom Davenport (since 1987) and Councilmember Lisa Brownell (since 2013). Of note are plans for widening I-10 just east of town to make room for an expressway expansion project that has yet to proceed; current plans call for expanding I-10 south by approximately 10 miles while also adding another lane in each direction across from downtown Phoenix

This article will explore some of the early coffee pioneers who had a significant impact on modern day espresso culture. The first real espresso machine was probably built by Felice Bezzucca in 1847 for use at his cafe degli Ulivi (the Dove) on Via della Scala in Rome. The machine used hot water pressure to force a small amount of gas through a small opening at the top of the pot, which then caused liquid grounds (or ground coffee) to flow into a large metal container below. These grounds were then roasted on an open flame before being poured into cups or saucers made from earthenware or porcelain. Bezzucca’s machines quickly became indispensable within cafes throughout Italy and Europe, and soon became known as “the best machines ever made” due to their high quality and unique features. By 1852 he had developed his own version of the espresso machine which allowed for steamed milk instead of just boiled water – this greatly improved its usability as well as its attractiveness to café patrons. This new approach eventually led to Starbucks’ birth two years later!

The community of El Mirage, Arizona is located in the Mojave Desert and has been inhabited by Native Americans for over a thousand years. The area was first explored by Spaniards in 1542 and the first permanent settlement was made in 1776 by Captain Juan Bautista de Anza. The area around present-day El Mirage was granted to Major Don Fernando de la Hoz on October 6, 1847. In 1870, the area became part of San Bernardino County. El Mirage experienced economic development during World War II with the construction of military airfields and other infrastructure. After the war, El Mirage lost some of its manufacturing jobs but regained some during the late 1960s and early 1970s when oil drilling began taking place in nearby Yucca Valley. In 1984, after being determined to be uninhabitable due to severe drought conditions, the City of Phoenix annexed portions of south Phoenix into El Mirage as part of an urban growth boundary referendum.
