Gourmet Coffee History in Chandler, Arizona traces the coffee industry in Chandler back to 1914 when Fritz Leiber and his brother-in-law Harry Birt set up their first coffee house. In 1923, they opened the second location which became known as The Gourmet. In 1933, The Gourmet was bought by the LaFontaine family who ran it until 1949. From that point on, The Gourmet became known as Café de la Monnaie and continued to serve quality coffee until it closed its doors in 1984. The first Starbucksopened its doors in Tempe, Arizona on Valentine's Day 1982. It wasn't long before other coffeehouses followed suit with locations throughout Phoenix and Tucson. Today there are over 100 Starbucks nationwide with more opening every day! There is no doubt that coffee has a long and venerable history. It was first brewed in the ancient Sumerian city of Uruk, about 3500 years ago. Coffee became very popular in Europe during the 18th century, as it was a favorite drink of British Prime Ministers and other political leaders. During the 19th century, coffee beans were shipped all over the world and became known for their high quality and unique flavor profiles. The first commercial coffee plantations were established in Africa in the mid-19th century. In 1893, Dutchman Johannes Gutenberg invented movable type printing press which allowed for the printing of books with text on large sheets of paper. This led to increased demand for coffee, which then became one of the most important commodities traded on world markets. In 1912, Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I declared coffee an official national beverage of Ethiopia. Coffee began to be exported to Europe and America at this time and picked up popularity throughout those countries as well. Coffee started being consumed more generally by people throughout the world in the early 20th century, but it achieved its current level of popularity only after World War II when espresso machines began becoming available everywhere people lived (and could afford them). After World War II, people lost interest in roasted beans as they replaced ground beans in their everyday cooking styles around the world. However, coffees still continue to be enjoyed by many people today because they provide a delicious cup of java that is both sweet and richly complex!

Chandler, Arizona is a small town located in Pinal County, Arizona. It has a population of around 4,500 people and is the county seat for Pinal County. The Chandler Municipal Airport is located in Chandler. The first settlers to Chandler arrived in 1867 and founded the town on the banks of the Salt River. The community was initially named "Fresno" after General Anthony Fremont who had fought against Apache Native Americans at what is now Phoenix. In 1919, Chandler changed its name to "Chandler" after J.D. Salinger's novel about a small-town boy growing up in New York City. The economy of Chandler has been largely based on agriculture since it was established as a farming community. Today, ranching and fishing are some of the primary industries in the area. There are also several manufacturing businesses which have sprung up over the years includingulations such as an ice cream company and electronic components manufacturer (formerly Motorola). In recent decades, Chandler has undergone a number of changes that have contributed to its current boomtown status:

Some of the earliest coffee evidence comes from ancient Sumer, where cups made from a type of bean known as Harappan were found. In Ethiopia, coffee was first cultivated in the 1600s by farmers who used a type of bean called Kaldi. The most common way to purchase coffee today is through grocery stores or cafés. One of the earliest cafes that purchased coffee was founded in 1795 by Pierre-Simon Laplace in Paris. Laplace's cafe served French soldiers stationed in Italy and Spain while they drank café de l'Alma, which was prepared with ground coffee beans sourced from locally roasting bushes near Madrid. Thisearly café example soon became popular among civilians as well, and it remains one of Paris' most renowned landmarks to this day. The Dutchman Jan Pieterszoon van Rensselaer established his own coffee business in 1624 in New Netherland during the Dutch Republic era. His first crop yielded only two sacks of beans per month, but he persisted and within five years had built up a large trade operation that exported more than three hundred thousand pounds (ninety-six thousand kilograms) of coffee per year to England alone. Van Rensselaer's success allowed him to build a large house on Broadway between what are now Canal Street and Wall Street in Manhattan – one of the largest buildings at that time – which still serves as an important landmark today. After being displaced by Dutchmen at Fort Orange during the American Revolution, British troops took over New Amsterdam (now New York City) on February 14, 1776. Coffee arrived backported from Boston after British forces burned down much of former Dutchtown on Staten Island; however, small quantities were available because Charles Towne did not have an ample Mondavi Corporation plantation infrastructure yet! The first Starbucks store opened its doors just north thereof on October 6th 1995! It wasn't until later that Starbucks began importing Turkish Ground Coffee directly from their farms!

Chandler, Arizona is a small town in Pinal County, Arizona. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Chandler was founded in 1885 by John A. Chandler and his wife Martha. The first store was built on what is now Fourth Street and Washingon Road. It was called "The Chapel." The town grew quickly due to its location near railroad tracks and its easy access to water supplies that made it a desirable place to settle during the Gold Rush period of 1849-1853. In 1893, Chandler became the county seat of Pinal County after being chosen by Commissioners Court as an option over Tucson because of its proximity to Wells Fargo Railroad station and other resources. In 1903, Chandler designated itself as an incorporated city when it approved a resolution ratifying the incorporation of cities withinArizona Territory by local boards of election under authority granted by the US Congress in 1898 during the Territorial era before statehood for all Arizonans regardless of race or color. Chandler experienced rapid growth from its incorporation until World War II when it fell victim to various post-war economic factors such as population loss due to separations within military service areas,DESERT STORM (1948),the general strike (1957),the recession (1970s) and several floods including one in 1986 which destroyed most buildings in downtown Chandler with only some remaining standing outside along Washington Boulevard between Central Avenue and First Street original commercial buildings were: The Bank Of America Building on Washington Boulevard east side; Western National Bank building west side; Hickey's grocery store south side; Benson & Sons hardware store north side; Mail order warehouse east side adjacent Cottonwood Mall.; Chamber Of Commerce building northeast corner Third Street & Washington Boulevard former Chamber offices are now used as apartments including: One hundred thirty three units at Two stories height currently occupied by Regency Tower development southeast corner Third Street & Shea Boulevard formerly home of Mesa Justice Courts administrative offices also used for apartments including: One hundred thirty two units at One story height presently occupied by Phoenix Convention Center complex northwest corner SeventhStreet&Waring Parkwayformerly home of Mesa Community College administrative offices also used for apartments ; University Of Phoenix Suns basketball arena located on East Fourth street across from Chipper's red light district featured rock concerts headlined byMichael Jackson throughout late 1980s through early 1990s

Chandler as a suffrage center for voting farmers who were organized into villages on the eastern side of the Santa Fe Trail. In 1912, it became an independent city and has since grown to its current size.
