On December 12th 1961 October 11th saw Japan attack Pearl Harbor resulting in World War II which caused USS Enterprise (CV-6) to be sunk off nearby Espiritu Santo Reef operations that lasted for three days[3]. Choking gas fumes from her battleship superstructure ended up causing her engine trouble which allowed Japanese planes attacking Pearl Harbor torpedoes into her hull killing 168 sailors including captain James Caird en route back fromEniwetok Atoll; this event helped set off America's response against Japan during World War II known as The Manhunt

Juneau, Alaska is a small town located in the U.S. state of Alaska. It was founded by Russians in 1867 and became an American Territory in 1959. The area now known as Juneau was first inhabited by the Athabascan people, who were hunters and gatherers until the early 1800s. In 1867, Russian miners arrived in what is now Juneau and began to prospect for gold and silver. They named their new settlement after Saint Petersburg, Russia's capital at the time. The first post office was established in 1870, and the first store was opened in 1872. By 1888, Juneau had a population of 100 residents. Mining operations continued until 1903 when production ceased due to over-production from nearby claims. In 1909, Congress passed the Jones Act which granted American citizens temporary residency within Canada for fishing purposes; this act helped encourage tourism in the town and led to its increase in population from 1,500 to 10,000 during World War I alone! After the war ended, however, mining recommenced but would be discontinued again because of depletion of resources thanks to changes in technology and other developments! Between 1941-1945, Japanese forces invaded Alaskan territory during World War II as part of Operation Anchorage; they occupied most of Alaska including Juneau before withdrawing on September 2nd 1945. The town reverted back to its prior Russian name upon their withdrawal from Alaskan soil! Asbestos manufacturing resumed postwar with a few companies still existing until 1971 when it all went out of business due to environmental concerns! In 1959, following enactment of the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAA), local authorities enacted air quality regulations that helped improve air quality throughout much of Alaska until recent times! Today there are many businesses operating within Juneau despite some lingering effects from asbestos manufacturing which has been phased out somewhat; it's one thing that has not stoppedJuneaudians from being active members & contributors both locally & nationally!
