Air Force deployed gift history in Prattville, Alabama began in the early1950s. The Prattville Air National Guard Base was home to a detachment of the 5th Bombardment Wing (later the 5th Bombardment Squadron) of the United States Army Air Forces. This unit operated out of RAF Waddington AFB, England from 1951-1957. Upon its return to America, the wing's aircraft were reorganized and reassigned to Prattville AFB. In 1957, it was decided that an airfield within the base would be needed for ADC missile tests and this prompted assignment of three squadrons - one each from Wright Field (Ohio), Grumman Aircraft Corporation's Long Beach Airport (CA) and Randolph AFB (Texas). These three squadrons became known as "The Flying Fortresses" and provided aerial refueling and photographic support for operations over South Korea during that conflict. Inactivated in 1969, The Flying Fortresses' memory lives on through various Department of Defense programs which honor their service during World War II- Korean War era. These programs include: *The Aerospace Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB fondly remembers TheFlyingFortress squadron members who served during World War II with kindness and distinction by hosting exhibitions honoring their participation every two years since 1987 *The Republic of Korea Air Force Museum has a permanent exhibit called "Pilots And Their Planes: The Flying Fortress Squadron" which is open to the public every Friday from 9am-4pm

In World War II, Prattville was one of the most heavily bombed communities in America with over 100 bomb raids taking place during the war. Despite this bombardment campaign, no substantive damage occurred to any buildings or people in the city apart from some minor property damage from shrapnel flying through windows during attacks. After World War II ended however, Prattville experienced rapid growth as result of new industrial developments aroundMobile Bayou which continued until 1965 when Mobile County consolidated with Alabama creating Montgomery County which included much of downtown Atlanta including Prattville which reverted back to its pre-war status as a farming community with no significant industrial development taking place until 1959 when furniture production shut down due to relocation to neighboring cities such as Birmingham and Huntsville

It is clear that support from America's friends has not only kept Afghanistan safe but also bolstered General Mattis' strategy vis-à-vis ISIS militants who had threatened Afghanistan specifically during President Obama presidency
