Millbrook is a town in Talladega County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,577 at the 2010 census. Millbrook is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area. Millbrook first came into being as a result of the construction of the Talladega Railroad in 1868. The mill and post office were built in 1881 by A. H. Mills and named for him, although he did not actually live in Millbrook until after it had been founded. The mill continued to operate until it was closed in 1904. The building that now stands on North Main Street was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Today, most of what once stood within the limits of Millbrook are gone but portions can still be seen including a small park located east of town which features a playground, tennis courts, and a swimming pool; and two churches located just off Highway 231 north-west of town - First Baptist Church (built 1892) and Second Baptist Church (built 1907).
