The Coast Guard was founded in 1917 when the Alabama Legislature passed a bill providing for an organization to protect the state's coastline. The Coast Guard was initially made up of just twelve men, but it soon became apparent that there was a need for more help. In 1916, the Coast Guard began purchasing boats and hiring captains to patrol the Alabama coast. In 1935, the Coast Guard purchased its first helicopter. By 1941, the Coast Guard had created thirteen stations along the Alabama coast. The importance of coastal security increased as America entered World War II. After Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt ordered all American ports to open to allow troop ships access to transport supplies and troops to fight in Europe. This led to increased demands on resources and manpower from the Coast Guard. During World War II, coastal guard personnel helped clean up beaches and provide security for government installations such as airfields and submarines docks. They also played a role in developing radar technology which allowed naval vessels and planes to find targets without being detected by enemy fighters or bombers. Afterward, Coastal Guardsmen were called upon to help with reconstruction efforts following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Hurricane Rita in 2006. Today, while some members of the Coast Guard continue their traditional roles such as fishing search operations or law enforcement activities off of Louisiana's Gulf coast, most guardsmen are now employed within other departments of government such as firefighting or tourism services. Nevertheless, their contributions remain significant both historically and currently within society as a whole- something that is evident throughout Gadsden County where they maintain a presence today through various outreach programs including special events like Christmas carols at Fort McAllister State Park or family reunions at local high schools during summer break

The Coast Guard was founded on May 14th, 1903 by United States President Theodore Roosevelt. The first Commander in Chief of the Coast Guard was Rear Admiral James Waddell. There have been over 1,500 Commanders in Charge of the Service since its establishment. One of the main objectives of the Coast Guards is to protect people and property from harm at sea or on land. Some of their most common tasks include Search and Rescue (SAR), Law Enforcement (LE), Environmental Education (EE), as well as providing TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THEIR RELATED AGENCIES EVERYWHERE FROM SEA TO AIR! In Fiscal Year 2019, the United States Government spent $6 billion dollars on maritime security including $3 billion for Ship Security Programs within NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) budget; $1 billion for Homeland Security-related programs administered by DHS through Customs and Border Protection;and an additional $2 billion obligated under both Presidential Executive Orders 13715 (the Secure America’s Maritime Infrastructure Act) and 14611–12 entitled “America’s Great Lakes: protection from terrorism At Sea” jointly funded by five federal agencies: NOAA/NMRF ($1 million per month); US Army Corps of Engineers ($2 million per month); Department Of Homeland Security ($4 million per month); State Department ($250 thousand per month).
Gadsden, Alabama's coast guard gift history goes back to 1917. The Coast Guard was founded in Mobile, Alabama on December 10th, 1917. In 1923, the Coast Guard merged with the military service of the United States Navy and became known as the United States Coast Guard Service. In 1969, the name was changed to United States Coast Guardsmen when it absorbed all other naval services into its umbrella organization.
Gadsden is a small town in Alabama, located about thirty miles north of Mobile. The town was founded in 1824 by General Andrew Jackson and named for Gadsden County, Alabama, which he had won during the Mexican-American War. In 1861, Gadsden became the capital of Confederate States of America following the fall of Richmond to Union forces. Gadsdens residents sided with the Confederacy and Battle of Gadsden took place on April 12th when Confederate cavalry under Hood charges Union troops led by Major General James Longstreet across a bridge over the Monongahela River. Many citizens were killed or captured and most of Gadsdanes population later moved to Alabama or Mississippi. Today, Gadsden is home to a small museum that tells its story from before it was founded to after the war. The museum contains artifacts from both sides of the conflict as well as contemporary pieces related to local history. Additionally, there is a park that includes an amusement park and two basketball courts.
The Coast Guard was first established on December 12, 1916 as the U.S. Customs Service. The Coast Guard originally served as a search and rescue service, protecting vessels and people from smugglers and pirates; however, it soon became clear that not all waterways were safe for navigation and so in 1935, the Coast Guard began to protect coastal areas by launching enforcement patrols and interceptions of smuggling attempts. In 1951, the Coast Guard adopted its present name - The United States Coast Guard - which is still in use today. The history of coast guard gift products goes back to 1917 when the United States War Shipping Administration (WSA) placed an order for 1,000 lifeboats called Lifeboat No. 514. These lifeboats were made from white oak boards with black lettering reading "USCG" fastened to each buoy using black Threadlocker’s staples. As these boats were ordered they also marked down their price by 50% because they would only be used for maritime purposes during World War I and II; however, within a year of placing the order USS Constitution (CGN-4) replaced Lifeboat No. 514 with her own model boat known as SS America (LN-5). A second order for 1,000 lifeboats was placed with Vickers Sons & Co., but these boats were not completed until after World War II due to wartime shortages of materials such as steel and oakum. During the war there was also a shortage of manpower so many members of the US Naval Reserve died in combat or while serving on active duty instead of being drafted into naval service like other countries did at that time. Consequently, most lifesaving missions during World War II took place offshore where more volunteers could be found than required on land due to lack of available ships or personnel stationed offshore atolls/islands etc.. Thisitself set the precedence for future gifts given by commercial companies such as CGC Group Incorporated who became involved in lifesaving efforts after WWII through their involvement with both Federal agencies such as NOAA Fisheries Service (now National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and state governments fleets such as California’s Department of Fish & Game who receiveditations from various commercial fishing fleets operating out of northern California waters including Monterey Bay area which resulted in vessels being fitted with Sonar arrays Forward looking Maritime Surveillance Systems capableof detecting small submarines up to 125 feet long under water towed by a large船

Gadsden, Alabama is a small town in the state of Alabama. The population was 6,551 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Mobile-Tocantins metropolitan area. The first Europeans to enter Gadsden were French traders and missionaries in 1684. Spanish colonists arrived in 1719 and founded San Miguel de Allende near where Gadsden now stands. English traders began trading here in 1733 and by 1759 had built a large settlement on the east bank of Mobile Bay which they named New Gadsden after their hometown of Guildford, England. In 1817, General Andrew Jackson invaded Alabama with 1,500 men and five cannons to remove George Moore from office as governor because he refused to give up his seat on the Supreme Court for Jefferson County. Moore was tried and convicted but pardoned by Jackson before he could be hanged. In 1825, Gadsden became a county seat when it was included within Mobile County. In 1836, it became part of Etowah County when it was created from parts ofMobile and Baldwin Counties. In 1861, Confederate General Braxton Bragg called for secession from the United States because he believed that slavery should not be supported by white people under any circumstances – although many whites inAlabama supported slavery throughout the war effort.– so Gadsdens prominent citizens Joined forces with Confederate General Robert Ewell to fight against Ulysses S Grant’s Union army outside Montgomery on April 11–12 1865 while most residents remained loyal to the Union side until late into the war.—Gadsden also played an important role during Reconstruction following Reconstruction governments were set up throughout Alabama soon followed by Republican rule.—Today Gadsden has a population of around 7600 making it one of the smaller towns inAlabama.—Gadsonians are known for their statewide presence as well as its annual Agricultural Show
