In 1916, the company moved to its present location on Main Street in Fort Payne. The business continued to grow and offer unique coffee products until it went out of business in the early 1990s.

Fort Payne is a town in Marshall County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Mobile–Tensaw metropolitan area. Fort Payne was founded in 1819 by General Andrew Jackson and became one of his military outposts on the Red River. The post saw action during the American Civil War and Reconstruction. The National Guard Armory opened in Fort Payne in 1951, becoming one of only a few armories in Southeast Alabama to serve as a cultural and educational center for the community. In 1984, Fort Payne became an official city limits town with its own police department and fire department; this change removed most municipal services from Mobile City Hall and made it easier for residents to interact with their local government. During World War II (1941-1945), Fort Payne played an important role in training Japanese troops for combat against Allied forces. Today, the fort offers visitors tours of its history、 architecture、 museums and memorials including a reconstructed Japanese barracks complex complete with bunkers and live samurai swords demonstrations。

Fort Payne was a fort built in 1819 by the United States to protect the Alabama River from Seminole and Indian raids. The fort was abandoned in 1830, but it is still standing today. The fort is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public. The fort was originally built on the east bank of the Alabama River, about two miles upstream from present-day Fort Payne. It consisted of a series of logs huts that were used as barracks for military personnel and their horses. A small cannon battery was also constructed at this site. In 1830, the President of the United States decided to abandon Fort Payne because of increasing Indian attacks on American settlements in central America. The decision caused great controversy because it meant that American forces would be withdrawing from what had been one of their most important strategic positions along the Alabama River. Despite its abandonment, Fort Payne continued to serve as a garrison until 1847 when it was transferred to Mobile Bayou Department under newly created US Territoryof Mobile Bayous. In 1868, part of Fort Payne became home to Confederate General John Bell’s new brigade headquarters during his unsuccessful attempt to take Montgomery by storm during the Union army’s effort to reoccupy Moore County following its defeat at Ramseur's War (1863).
