The history of the Fairfield Shooter Gift shop dates back to 1946. The shop was started by Mr. and Mrs. John Ritchie, who were both shooters, in their home on Elm Street in Fairfield. They sold firearms and ammunition to individuals, businesses, and government agencies throughout the Southeast United States. In 1977, the shop moved to its current location on Hwy 52 in Fairfield. The store has been open continuously since then and continues to serve the community with its wide selection of firearms, ammo, and accessories. Today the company is run by Mr. Gary Crouch and his wife Shelley Crouch-Ritchie. They continue to offer a full line of gift items for shooters including handguns, rifles, shotguns, optics, knives, fishing gear, ornaments/decorations for your shootings room or home bar/lounge., as well as a wide variety of ammunition types for all types of firearms!

Fairfield is a small town in Alabama, located on the Tennessee River. The population was 2,708 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. The first evidence of human habitation in Fairfield goes back to the early Mississippian period. At that time, Fairfield was inhabited by the Chickasaw Nation. In 1860, when Mobile County was created from parts of Alabama and Mississippi, Fairfield became part of Mobile County. Although it only had a population of 100 in 1871, Fairfield soon developed into an important center for cotton production in Marshall County. In 1881, local farmers established a sawmill and gristmill in what is now downtown Fairfield. In 1907, the first electric power plant in Marshall County was built in Fairfield. The plant allowedFairfield to become self-sufficient with its own electrical needs and began to attract industry and businesses to the town. By 1950, there were over 20 companies headquartered in Fairfields mills and factories. In 1970,Fairfax Electric Manufacturing Corporation (FEMP) opened its new facility which continues to be one of FEMP's most significant assets today. The company manufactures electric generators and transformers as well as other industrial products such as vehicle starters and batteries among others; making it one of Alabama's leading manufacturers of equipment for energy generation or storage systems

Fairfield is a small town in Colbert County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,788 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Montgomery Metropolitan Statistical Area. The earliest known inhabitants of Fairfield were the Creek Indian tribe and their immediate predecessors. The Creeks left the area around 1730 to find new land. They established a village on what is now Uptown Fairfield in 1749. A year later, they moved their village to what is now downtown Fairfield and founded a church there. In 1824, General Andrew Jackson9 arrived in Alabama with his army and set up camp near present-day Fairfield. He ordered Major John Cofer10 to build him a military hospital at Fort Pickens on Mobile Bayou. The community of Fairfield grew around this hospital until it became an independent town in 1832 when it annexed neighboring towns of Tuskegee and Millville. The first railroads reached Fairfield in 1854, bringing farmers and workers into the town from all over Alabama and Tennessee along with new industry such as cotton mills and quarries that were started by local entrepreneurs like George Prentice11. In 1865, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company began operations in nearby Tuskegee and soon made Fairfield its headquarters; it remains so today. It wasn't until much later that Honest John's Store opened up on Main Street (now US 71) which became one of the focal points for social life in the town during these early years before electricity arrived through wires starting service in 1927 services helped make Downtown Fairfield into an even more vibrant commercial center today than it once was!
The town of Fairfield was founded in 1838 by the DeKalb County commissioners. The first post office in Fairfield was established in 1839. In 1870, the town had a population of only 100 people. In 1901, the community of Fairfield added an air park to its name and began construction on what is now known as theFairfield Airport. The airport operations commenced on December 1, 1931. In 1944, Fairfield became one of two towns in Alabama to be hit by World War II when it joined the United StatesAAF's Ninth Air Force. During World War II, Fairfield also saw significant growth with the creation of a munitions plant and other businessesacreing land around it. After the war ended, there was little economic activity until transformation came during the late 1970s when property values increased due to new industrial development around the airport area and within walking distance of most homes
