Cudahy, Wisconsin, is a small town in the town of Racine, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1848 by John Cudahy and his wife Jane. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. The economy is primarily agricultural with a small manufacturing sector. In 2012, the town passed a resolution to rename itself "John Cudahy Town". The first settler in what is now Cudahy was John Cudahy himself. He and his wife Jane arrived from Ireland in 1848 and started a farm on the east side of the river that would later become Racine. They were followed by their three children: Francis (1850-1930), Margaret (1854-1934) and John Fenton (1858-1937). The first school in what is now Cudahy was built in 1850 by Mr. Jorgensen as part of an effort to improve education for the area's burgeoning population. By 1860 there were twelve families living here with sixty-six students attending one school each day; however this number only increased when Mr. Jorgensen opened up land on both sides of the river for farming purposes which allowed more people to settle here permanently. In 1875, Reverend George Ladd purchased some land adjoining John Fenton's farm which became known as Ladd's Prairie after him. This property became one of Racine’s most important commercial areas due to its location near Highway 8 and its access to numerous water rights including those along Waupaca Creek which provided irrigation for much of rural Racine until about 1920; it also served as a transportation hub for goods arriving from Milwaukee through Waupaca County before being transported onwards by rail into Milwaukee County proper via Menomonee Falls . In 1893 Rev. George Ladd donated over two acres of land northeast of where he lived on Waupaca Street across frompresent day Superior High School to become Staunton Park Cemetery . This donation represented an important move forward for Racine as it allowed people who had died within city limits or outside village boundaries – many of whom had been buried at Ladd’s Prairie –to be buried close to their loved ones without having to leave their homes or communities behind . This cemetery remains active today with over 2,000 gravesites located there including many notable local figures such as Judge Edward Sanger and Drs Samuel Gridley and Augustus Weinreb who all served in Wisconsin State Senate during the late 1800s/early 1900s

Cudahy is a small town in the town of Rockford, Wisconsin. The population was 1,695 at the 2010 census. It is located in rural Dodge County on the east side of the Kankakee River. The community was founded in 1852 by George Cudahy and his family. His father, John Cudahy, had been a settler in this area for many years before that.George Cudahy operated a general store and post office here for many years until it closed in 1934. In 1907, he married Anna Mix (died 1997). They had three children: Barbara (born 1911), George Jr. (born 1912) and Dorothy (born 1915). Their only daughter predeceased them both; she married William Prentice and had two daughters: Sarah (born 1933) and Kimberly Prentice-Robertson (born 1945). In 1957, the community opened its first high school which served students from kindergarten through eighth grade. It was later renamed after Dr. Milton Sanger who served as superintendent of schools here from 1954 until his death in 1984. Dr. Sanger also donated land to build a new school which opened in 1969 on Park Street across from his old one; it is now known as South High School. From 1974 to 1992, Cudahy also had its own library which was open to the public with no tuition required! In 1996, South High School moved to its present location on West Main Street just north of downtown while other parts of the school district were consolidated into Rockford East High School which reopened in 1998!
In 1854, Cudahy was named after General James Cudahy who served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. In 1865, Cudahy became a town when it was organized as a village by the Wisconsin Territorial Legislature. The first Post Office opened in 1870 and remained in operation until 1935. The first store opened in 1875 and was called "The Shop". The original school was built in 1876 and continued to operate until 1951. In 1941, the town had a population of just over 100 people. By 1949, the population had grown to over 500 residents. Over time, Cudahy has benefited from its location near WI Highway 12 and Interstate 94 which have contributed to its growth rate.
