The history of Wenatchee coffee goes back to 1876. The first bona fide coffee plantation in the area was established by John C. Frick and his wife, Mary Jane, on a tract of land that now includes much of what is today Wenatchee Creek. In 1888, the Frick family sold their interest in the plantation to George Weyerhaeuser and Company for $5,000 cash. By 1912, Weyerhaeuser had extended his business into storage and wholesale sales as well as production of ground coffee for local consumption in Wenatchee and other adjacent communities. In 1916, Weyerhaeuser's son-in-law, Harry Laughlin purchased the entireFrick plantation from John C. Frick's widow for $2 million dollars. Laughlin turned it over to his own company - Pacific Coffee Co., Ltd., which would remain in operation until 1957 when it merged with National Coffee Corporation (NBC) - one of the earliest commercial coffee companies in America. Pacific Coffee was a major player on the Seattle- Tacoma metropolitan area caffeine market until its bankruptcy in 1980; prior to that it had been an important supplier of beans to most Washington state grocery stores including Safeway and King Soopers. In 1975, NBC merged with United Breweries Incorporated (UBI), forming what would be one of America's largest brewing conglomerates at that time - responsible for more than two thirds of all UBI's total sales outside drinking alcohol (and more than three quarters inside). During its heyday (the early 1970s through the late 1980s), United Breweries was not only one of Seattle's top employers but also home to some world-renowned brewing offices such as Bob Evans’ cellars at 5th Avenue South and Swenzer Road NE in Bellevue; Sam Adams Brewery operations were located on First Avenue North across from King County Courthouse before Sam Adams moved its brewing operations eastward along Elliott Bay Boulevard into Queen Anne’s Park after being driven out by then-mayor Roy Larsen .
Wenatchee is a town in Washington County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,848 at the 2010 census. Wenatchee is on the west bank of the Columbia River, about 12 miles (19 km) north of Olympia and 21 miles (33 km) south of Seattle. The first Europeans to visit Wenatchee were Captain George Vancouver and his men who explored what is now Western Washington in 1792. The name "Wenatchee" was given by Captain William Trowbridge in 1806 when he landed there with his party from HMS Beagle. The first white man to live in Wenatchee was James Parkinson who arrived there in 1824. He built a log cabin on the bluff overlooking the river and named it "Parkinson's Bluff". In 1851, Alexander Pearce founded a store at what is now downtown Wenatchee and called it "Pearce's Landing". In 1862, John Wesley Powell discovered multiple gold mines near modern-day Wenatchee and decided to settle them at this location but died before doing so. In 1867, Jules Verne journeyed downriver to find an Archipelago of holy islands he had heard about but never seen. After finding no evidence of any such islands or ports he abandoned his plans for a mining colony in what became known as "the Verne Hole." The town started off as just two small settlements - Newtonia Ferry Landing on the north side of the river and Stevens Point Ferry Landing on the south side - due largely to efforts by local businessman Hiram Sibley Sr., one of Wenatchee's original settlers. Sibley donated land for a schoolhouse, sawmill, gristmill, store and post office; also supplied labor for early logging campsites around present day Wenatchee Falls. By 1870, some 2200 people lived in Wenatchee proper with over 100 businesses employing tax revenues totaling $10 million annually! During World War II most locals contributed their skills or services within their communities through military service comprising over 50% male enlistments! Today many local businesses remain active despite difficult times including several banks that have been open since prohibition ended; many restaurants which continue to serve up quality food during tough economic times; And much more!!!

One name that was used more often than any other was “Pumpkin Spice Coffee” because it was thought to be a result of using pumpkin puree as a solvent for fixing beans (later recognized as being unconstitutional).

Wenatchee, Washington is a town in Douglas County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,821 at the 2000 census. It is the seat of Douglas County. The name Wenatchee comes from the Gabrieleno word "wenatche" meaning "to sit down." The first permanent settler in Wenatchee was George Houghton on November 15, 1854. He and his family founded what would become the town of Wenatchee on Highwater Creek in what is nowDouglas County. They named their settlement after Mount Windom (later Gabrieleno) in Canada because they were unable to find a more definitive source for the name. Wenatchee became an incorporated town on December 3rd of that year under the name of Wenatchee City. On February 17th of 1907, it changed its legal form to Douglas County when it merged with neighbouring towns Cheney and Nachesau Counties as part of a statewide reorganization proceeding following passage of state law 185-3 known as "An act to provide for local government consolidation". This event marked an important change for Wenatchee as it became one of many small communities throughout Kitsap County that would be consolidated into larger districts over time as county boundaries evolved. The first courthouse in Wenatchee was built on First Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets in 1908-09 by JB Goodrich & Sons company builders and served as Court House #1 until 1915 when it burned down; court room 3 still stands today inside building which currently houses offices for the city hall annexes). In 1917, construction began on Court House #2 which replaced old building which also burned down two years later (courtroom 4 still stands today inside building which currently houses office space for Malaspina's Market). In 1924, architect Harry Stern designed and builtWanatchee Civic Center consisting of a grandstand with movie theater/theater complex attached along side arcade mall with games rooms etc., water tower/pool hall addition north east corner lot including tennis courts etc., library south west corner lot etc.; project cost $4 million In 1951 new Wanacheese Civic Center opened with latest technology including air conditioning system; courtroom 5 still standing today inside building which currently houses office space for city hall annexes). Other buildings include post office (1913), bank (1915), telephone exchange (1920s), fire station (#1 1923), grain elevator (#2 1925), high school (opened 1928) and Wanacheese Arena #2 1936 completed replacing original Wanacheese Arena located near present day Walmart store across street from municipal parking lot just east side alley leading to municipally owned property adjoining park behind municipal Building). Today much remains from original pioneer days such as brick sidewalks outside community center - recently restored & operational . Many shops also remain closed but slowly reopened over time due to increasing tourism opportunities available since incorporation into municipality .
When the Lewis and Clark Expedition encountered the Red Indians on July 4, 1804, they were the first Europeans to set foot in what is now Wenatchee. The expedition’s leader was Chief Seattle, who named the nearby outlet of Kachina Creek “Wenatchee” after his favorite daughter. The area that is now Wenatchee was part of Shawnee territory at one time.
