As the birthplace of some of the world's most renowned artisan coffee roasters, Spokane Valley has a rich and varied coffee history. The region has been home to many different types of beans and roasters since its earliest days, and today there are several very experienced and well-respected restaurants that offer delicious cups of espresso. One of the most important aspects of any coffee culture is shared tradition - and in Spokane Valley, that includes their love for artisanship. From the small family-owned cafes that have been serving up high quality java for decades to newer businesses like Roasted Bean & Tea Leaf, everyone in this town knows their way around a cup of espresso. It's no secret that #coffeeplease was born out of frustration with café conditions in other parts of the country. Coffee shops here were often overcrowded and overpriced - so we decided to do something about it! We set out to find local roasters who would produce 100% organic beans at an affordable price, and our campaign led to the birth of Roasted Bean & Tea Leaf as one of Spokane Valley's premiere artisan coffee shops. Since then, we've seen growth both on our premises (which now hold over 20 seats) as well as through collaborations with other local businesses - from farmers markets to breweries! Our mission is always shaped by our passion for good coffee - whether it's creating unique blends or sourcing only from local partners who share our values. And while we continue working hard to uphold our commitment to quality, sustainability, community engagement – everything we dohere is designed with you in mind!

As coffee became more popular, so too did artisanal roasts and beans. Artisan coffee began as small-scale operations, with people producing their own blends and coffees from specific origins. By the early 2000s, there were large commercial businesses that specialized in artisanal coffee. However, the popularity of artisan coffee has led to a proliferation of small-scale roasters and cafes, which continue to produce high-quality coffee products. Here we will discuss some of the most important aspects of artisanal coffee history, including its beginnings and development; its travels and spread throughout the world; and how it has become increasingly popular over the years. Artisan Coffee History: Origins The first time anyone heard aboutartisanal coffee was during World War II when American soldiers discovered a type of beans called Arabica that was not found anywhere else on Earth. At first they thought this bean was unique because it had been grown in an area known for its chlorophyll trees (a type of botanical tree used for dyeing fabrics). After tasting this new bean they realized it was different than any other they had tried before. The name “artisan” was given to this roasted bean because only those who were skilled in making their own coffees could produce it correctly. This discovery marked the beginning of a long history where artisans have played a vital role in creating quality espresso beans all over the world today.
The first coffee beans were roasted in Africa. The beans were brought to Italy by the Arabs in the 8th century and from there they spread to Europe. The first espresso was brewed on December 6, 1795 by Giovanni Battista Bonomi in Florence.
