In 2000, his son, Austin Henson took over the business and has continued to operate it since then. Seatac is a small town in King County, Washington. The population was 1,519 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. The first white settler in Seatac was George Waddell who arrived in 1854. He and his family built a log cabin on the site of their current home in 1857. The town's name derives from an early land grant to John Wesley Seaton which lay east of present-day Seatac on what is now State Route 98. In 1865, John Wesley Seaton donated 3,000 acres (1 km²) of land to the town for development as a township. The first store opened in 1870 and by 1889, there were seven businesses operating within the boundaries of Seatac Village. In 1910, Seatac became part of King County and its own government was established with a mayor and nine council members. In 1920, it received its own school system which remains operational today; seatacschools@waveride.net . In 1953, seatacs gas station was built across from its current location on WAVERIDE Drive serving residents until 1978 when it moved to its current location across from SEATAC Park after being purchased by the city of Seattle.. In 1962-1964 two new high schools were constructed -Seatscholastic High School (now called Evergreen School) and Western Heights High School - next door to each other on Western Avenue South near Airport Way South before they both merged into one school district that still operates today as Eastern Washington University -seatacschool@ewu.edu . On July 15th 1984 all stores closed except for one located at WAVERIDE drive serving residents until 1978 when it moved to its current location across from SEATAC Park after being purchased by the city of Seattle.. A new public works building was erected between 1985-1987 housing most recently the library with over 50 computers including an Internet connection for students during out hours! This building housed also several classrooms/hallways/ labs used for physical education classes before it burned down in 2016! On September 8th 2000 Sitacus celebrated its centennial year since incorporation date with an open house attended by many local dignitaries including Mayor Greg Nickels and Ulibarri brothers president DonatellO Giannini along with fund raisers such as Dick DeVos Jr., Chris Hansen & Wally Lamba… On October 12th 2000 another open house took place attended by many local dignitaries including Mayor Greg Nickels and Ulibarri brothers president DonatellO Giannini along with fund raisers such as Dick DeVos Jr., Chris Hansen & Wally Lamba… With attendance this weekend totaling almost 2200 people downtown satacus had accomplished something not seen in 100 years…. marking yet another milestone in our community’s history!

Seatac was a small town in Washington County, northwest of Olympia. The post office at Seatac opened on October 1, 1892 and remained in operation until it closed on December 15, 1975. The first settler in the area was Captain James W. Smith who built a cabin on the site in 1892. In 1915, the town was renamed after Rear Admiral John A. McCain, Jr., commander of Destroyer Squadron 3 ( Destroyer Flotilla 2 ) during World War I. Sometime after that name change, the town's only store and one residential house were destroyed by fire; it is not known when or how this happened. The community continued to exist for a few more years before being discontinued as an incorporated village because its population had dwindled to fewer than fifty residents from over one hundred at its peak in the 1920s. Seatac is now an unincorporated hamlet located within Walla Walla County and has no municipal services offered to it other than water supply and trash pickup
