Marysville is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma Metropolitan Area. Marysville is located on Puget Sound and bordered by Boeing Field to the east and south, Sea-Tac Airport to the north and West Seattle to the west. The first settlers in what is now Marysville were Methodist missionaries who arrived in 1851. They built a small log cabin on a peninsula that juts into Puget Sound. The original name for the town was "Moses Lake". A post office called Marysville was established in 1859, and remained open until it was discontinued in 1912. In 1865, voters approved a new city charter which granted voting rights to women. In 1907, prohibition became law in Washington state and as a result many businesses closed their doors; however, many of these businesses reopened after repeal of prohibition within weeks. By 1910, about 60% of all jobs were provided by agriculture or fishing along with 10% by manufacturing and service industries such as lumber and food processing On July 12th 1909 local businessmen met at Boeing Field near Green Lake to create an organization known as The Northwest Nationalist League (NNL). This meeting led to creation of The Seattle Times Company Limited Partnership with thirty articles written by employees of The Seattle Times Company Limited Partnership

Marysville is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bellevue–Anacortes metropolitan area. The first settlers in what would become Marysville were French Canadians who arrived in 1847. They named their land "Mariesville" after Marie-Thérèse de Montcalm, the wife of the Marquis de Lafayette. The first post office was established in 1851 and was called "Lafayette." In 1871, a school district was organized and named for Rev. Dr. George Hinton Morrill (1813-1892). Mrs. Morrill donated land for a school and laid out streets and blocks thereon which became Marysville's main commercial thoroughfare today known as Second Avenue. In 1912, an important event occurred when Seattle–Tacoma Railway Terminal #2 opened on Main Street south of present day Second Avenue East. This made it possible to shipping materials directly from Tacoma to Everett or Olympia without waiting for transportation through Marysville due to its close proximity to the railway yards and port facilities on Seward Peninsula then just north of downtown Tacoma. With this new connection came new opportunities for businesses such as farmers markets, lumberyards and other smaller outlets that had until then been limited by distance or lack of access to Puget Sound transportationsels
In 1847, Marysville was founded by John A. Macdonald and his wife, Catherine. The town is named after the river that flows through it – the Marys River. The first settler in Marysville was Alexander McMurtry, who arrived in 1849. In 1863, the town received its charter from the state of Washington. In 1870, a post office was established in Marysville with Wm. Henson as the first mail carrier. By 1888, there were over fifty businesses inMarysville and it had a population of around 350 people. The late 1800's saw some big changes for Marysville as well; starting with prohibition in 1907 led to a period of growth for the town. Throughout this time period, many jobs were created for locals as alcohol became illegal in many jurisdictions across America. A new school was built on Main Street in 1907 and soon became known as "the best school west of Pioneer Valley". It lasted until 1978 when it moved to what is now called Mount Vernon Elementary School on Everett Road within minutes of its original location! During World War II, local residents worked hard to provide goods and services needed by military personnel stationed throughout Northwest Washington including supplying food and clothing to troops stationed at Fort Lewis and other facilities across the region. Many citizens also contributed their time or money to help support war efforts by helping out at various factories or working on projects such as building airfields or manufacturing munitions plants deep inside enemy territory!
